Responsibilities

We are seeking a caring nurse or medical assistant to join our team at Methodist Plaza Internal Med. The ideal candidate will have a passion for patient care, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. In our clinic, you will play a crucial role in providing high-quality healthcare services to our patients.

  • Assist physicians and other healthcare providers with patient examinations, procedures, and treatments.
  • Prepare patients for examinations by taking vital signs, medical histories, and documenting information in electronic health records (EHR).
  • Perform basic clinical tasks such as administering injections, vaccinations, and conducting lab tests.
  • Conduct routine screenings, including vision and hearing tests, and measure patients' height and weight.
  • Provide patient education on preventive care, chronic disease management, and medication instructions.
  • Coordinate patient referrals, follow-up appointments, and manage patient flow to ensure efficient clinic operations.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of exam rooms, equipment, and supplies.
  • Ensure compliance with clinic protocols, regulatory standards, and infection control measures.

Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Current certification as a Certified Medical Assistant or Current Iowa License as an LPN/RN.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification and Mandatory Reporter training.
