Job Purpose
The Material Control Supervisor supports the Logistics/Materials Control Department by ensuring all operations including shipping & receiving, stocking, material preparation, & Cycle Counts are conducted daily and timely, for proper parts inventory, and adjusts as necessary to support Production. This position also maintains current inventory and storage infrastructure to optimize space utilization. This position also supports daily operations that support Production and other internal and external customers as needed.
Key Accountabilities
- Primary responsibility to oversee daily operations related to Shipping/Receiving resolving issues with good receipts, as required with flexibility in hours to support operations.
- Primary responsibility of managing Inventory Control warehouse operations including, stocking, material preparation, Bin Maintenance, operations to include daily cycle counts and inventory variance justifications.
- Cross functional coordination with procurement and quality to ensure material moves through the Goods receipt process timely.
- Present plans to Sr. Management that include optimizing space utilization and commodity storage techniques.
- Provide leadership, guidance and create an environment conductive to teamwork for all team members.
- Ensure Customer Service is realized at all levels.
- Supports company C-TPAT initiatives and serves as the POC for material control
- Maintain operations within the OMS System as outlined by HACI
- Report to Manager any anomalies or issues requiring assistance
Qualifications, Experience, and Skills
- Four-Year Degree or equivalent experience preferred
- Experience in SAP preferred
- 7 or more years of leadership experience preferred
- Working knowledge of SAP Preferred.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Power-point and Excel preferred.
- Knowledge of Inventory Control procedures and techniques preferred.
- Ability to operate in a dynamic environment.
- Exhibit strong decision-making capability.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Demon started Process improvement.
Working Conditions
- Incumbents may be routinely exposed to equipment operational noise heat-cold-dust, and/or aircraft equipment, parts, or fuel odors.
- Incumbents may be required to stand, sit, squat, walk, bend, move, reach, or stretch for prolonged time periods with no restrictions, as required by job duties.
- Work in a safe and professional manner while adhering to all regulatory requirements (FAA, OSHA, DOT, EPA, State, and Federal regulations, etc.).
- Read, hear, speak, and see with no restrictions, as required by job duties.
- Comprehend and adhere to management directions and/or safety instructions with no restrictions.
- Effectively communicate in Business English language.
- Pull, push, carry, lift, or move items up to 10 lbs. throughout the work shift without assistance, as required by job duties.
