About the Role

This role reports to the Managing Director and head of our Sponsor Coverage Team and is critical to expanding our market share with clients and prospective clients in our New York City metropolitan market. The individual must live in New York City.

Essential Functions and Primary Duties

  • Use existing relationships with deal team professionals at private equity firms, investment banking firms, and other M&A constituents to expand our firm's client base.

  • Schedule and lead in-person and virtual meetings.

  • Log and update all data tracking fields in SalesForce after telephonic and in person meetings.

  • Log and track advancement of individual professionals along our sales cycle continuum.

  • Use tools including PitchBook, LinkedIn etc. to navigate.

  • Send best practice emails to probe for needs where CBIZ Private Equity Advisory can deliver solutions.

  • Attend industry events as necessary to market CBIZ Private Equity Advisory and optimize brand awareness.

  • Work with Marketing to follow up on specific lead generation campaigns.

  • Present actionable business intelligence off fund news to properly stay top of mind and advance more individuals at more funds.

  • Learn and maintain in-depth knowledge of new services, industry trends and competition.

Preferred Qualifications

  • The candidate must possess current relationships with private equity firm deal team professionals in New York City

  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Salesforce.com.

  • Proven ability to leverage personal and professional network.

  • Proven ability to establish multi-level relationships within a single firm.

  • Ability to recognize and prioritize action across multiple prospect opportunities.

  • Must be a self-starter that can work independent of daily oversight.

  • High level of maturity and professionalism while displaying tenacity.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree required

  • 7 years experience in related field

  • 5 years supervisory

  • Must have and preserve required licenses

  • Ability to manage deadlines, work on multiple assignments and prioritize each assignment as necessary

  • Demonstrated ability to communicate verbally and in writing throughout all levels of organization, both internally and externally

  • Proficient use of applicable technology

  • Must be able to travel based on business needs

In compliance with states that have an active pay transparency law, the total compensation target for this job in this market is $200,000-$250,000. The specific compensation for this role will be determined based on the education, experience, and skill set of the individual selected for this position.

The compensation above is not representative of an employee's total compensation.
