Are you our Controls Engineer?

This role reports directly to the Software and Controls Engineering Manager and offers a on-site schedule based out of our Auburn Hills, MI. facility. Your ability to prioritize tasks, stay detail-oriented, think resourcefully, and take ownership of your work will be essential to your success in this dynamic internship experience.

  • Support design, engineering, and validation of new and standard product offerings
  • Develop and evaluate designs of electrical and pneumatic controls systems using AutoCAD and EPLAN.
  • Develop and execute PLC and HMI programs for standard products
  • Assist with creation of engineering standards.
  • Work closely with project teams on electrical design and programming, with exposure to the full project process. May take on side projects to improve team productivity.
  • Primarily support customer projects with some internal work; no field support or on-site installations. Potential collaboration with the R&D team on automation projects.
  • Regular interaction with the team, including mentorship from former interns who are now engineers. Minimal interaction with other interns.


To Succeed, You Will Need:



  • Actively pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering.
  • Minimum GPA of 3.3.
  • Open to Sophomore and Junior-level students.
  • Availability to work up to 40 hours per week with flexible scheduling.
  • Access to a reliable vehicle for local travel.
  • Highly motivated with a creative mindset.
  • Enthusiastic about contributing to a dynamic and growing team.
