About The Position
The Supervisor, IL Meter Shops is responsible for directing the work of the Ameren Illinois (AIC) meter shops to assure an adequate supply of meters, correctors, instrument transformers, instruments, and protective rubber goods to AIC operations. This position also assures that all handling, testing, and calibration of these items are performed safely and in compliance with all applicable codes and regulations, and Ameren requirements.
Key responsibilities include:
* Direct the work of Meter Shop personnel (e.g., Repairmen, Shop Testers, Journeymen, Test Board Operators, Lab Technicians, Storehouseman) at the Decatur and Peoria Meter Shops.
* Assure meter testing, repairs, programming and calibration; instrument transformer testing; rubber goods testing; instrument calibration; and Stores activity are performed safely and accurately and in compliance with ICC 83 Ill. Adm. Code Parts 410 and 500; applicable standards (i.e., ANSI, ASTM) and Ameren policies & procedures.
* Ensure that all work is effectively and efficiently scheduled to provide excellent customer service
* Monitor, order, and maintain inventory, and coordinate shipping to ensure an adequate supply of meters, correctors, automatic meter reading equipment, rubber goods, instrument transformers, and support materials to Illinois operations.
* Continually review processes and procedures to identify and implement improvements in cost control and productivity.
* Coordinate with engineering, training, field operations, MDF, and meter services personnel as required.
* Support the Automated Meter Reading (AMR) and Advanced Metering Infrastructure (AMI) implementation and operation as required.
* Maintain relationships with Suppliers through personal contacts, purchasing forecasts, and facility audits.
* Respond to ICC data requests and help facilitate their on-site audits/inspections.
* Assist the Superintendent, Meter Shop with planning and execution of the Meter Shops' Safety Program.
* Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
High School Diploma required. Bachelor's or Associates degree from an accredited college or university preferred. Five or more years of related (e.g., electric or gas operations, meter shop technician) experience required. Supervisory or team/project leadership experience preferred. Experience with scheduling and assigning work, budgeting, leading safety programs, etc. preferred.
In addition to the above qualifications, the successful candidate will demonstrate:
The Supervisor, IL Meter Shops works a standard day shift in an office and shop environment. Approximately 25% travel is expected with occasional weekday overnights required throughout the AIC service area. Working knowledge of OAS, CSS, and MMS computer systems, as well as Microsoft Office applications (e.g., Word and Excel) preferred. After preliminary review, selected applicants must take the First Line Supervisor Test and obtain a recommended status in order to be eligible for this position.

Ameren's selection process includes a series of interviews and may include candidate testing and/or an individual aptitude or skill-based assessment. Specific details will be provided to qualified candidates. * Salary dependent upon individual credentials and position market pay level.

Compensation Range:

$86,400.00 - $133,900.00

At Ameren, base salary is one component of a competitive compensation package for employees. Our pay ranges are broad to allow for movement within our organization and to accommodate different skill sets and levels of expertise. We take into consideration a variety of factors including, but not limited to, skills, abilities, experience, education, credentials, and internal equity when determining the base salary offered. Roles are eligible for additional rewards including annual incentive payments based on individual and company performance.
