Position Highlights |
The School of Landscape Architecture and Planning invites applicants for multiple positions of Adjunct Lecturer in Landscape Architecture and Sustainable Built Environments. We seek faculty who can work with students and colleagues who can teach topics related to GIS, urban ecology, public lands management and/or landscape architectural design. We seek faculty who can work with students and colleagues, and individuals who have experience with a variety of teaching methods and curricular perspectives. This position will be responsible for teaching undergraduate and graduate students. This is a part-time, non-tenure track position. The duties include teaching one to two courses per semester in online or in-person formats. CAPLA is an international leader in the development of sustainable design and planning solutions for arid regions of the world. Duties & Responsibilities |
- Teach one to two courses per semester.
- Syllabi and assignment preparation.
- Deliver classroom lectures and instructional activities.
- Create, grade, and critique student assignments.
- Exam preparation and grading.
- Evaluate overall student performance in the course.
- Participation in relevant department faculty meetings as appropriate.
- Additional duties may be assigned.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Ability to work with diverse students and colleagues.

Minimum Qualifications |
- A terminal degree or have a minimum of three years of professional experience in the field (excluding teaching).

Preferred Qualifications |
- Experience managing web-based and remote learning environments.
- Successful college or university teaching experience.
