Overview

We are hiring for a Learning Coordinator with orientation experience in Fargo, ND!

This person will be responsible for organizing and coordinating orientation and onboarding programs for new employees of MasTec Clean Energy and Infrastructure. In charge of scheduling new hire orientation sessions and facilitators, and ensuring a positive new hire experience. This position will also provide general administrative coordination for the Learning Programs team.

The Clean Energy & Infrastructure Group is comprised of the business sectors and companies: Industrial - Casey Industrial, MasTec Industrial, Phoenix Industrial; Infrastructure: American Civil Constructors West Coast, Cash Construction, FNF Construction, Lemartec Corporation, MasTec Civil, Precision Aggregate Products, Ragnar Benson Construction, Saiia, William Charles Construction, William Charles Electric; Renewables: IEA Constructors, Wanzek Construction, White Construction.



Responsibilities

Orientation Program Coordination:

    Coordinate orientation processes and logistics including collaborating with presenters to set up orientation schedules; organizing topics and content in logical order; communicating schedule to new employee and supervisor
  • Ensure office-based workspaces are prepared and assigned for new employees
  • Coordinate with supervisors to ensure smooth first day experience for new employees
  • Track inventory of new hire supplies and process orders as directed
  • Evaluate effectiveness of programming including learning outcomes and employee satisfaction assessments and utilize data to continuously improve and enhance New Hire experience
  • Collaboratively, with organizational stakeholders, coordinate the development and design of New Hire orientation content and curriculum, which may include presentations, checklists, handouts, and other training materials. Ensure continuous updates of all information to keep current as needed.
  • Coordinate the production and distribution of electronic orientation materials.
  • Build trust and work collaboratively with partners at multiple levels of the organization, including staff, craft, stakeholders, and management.

Learning Programs Coordination:

  • Coordinate collateral for Learning & Leadership programs and meetings, including schedule meeting rooms, arrange hotel accommodations, travel, and food/catering.
  • Order, catalog, track and ship supplies for Learning & Leadership development events as requested.
  • Set up training rooms and facilities, distribute training materials, and assist during training sessions and classes
  • Other Duties as Assigned


Qualifications

Education and Work Experience Requirements:

  • Associates degree (A.A.) in training and development, education, career development, business administration or related field required
  • Bachelor's degree in training and development, education, career development, business or related field preferred
  • Experience with learning and development preferred

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:

  • Take reasonable care of your own and others' health and safety and of those who may be affected by the day-to-day delivery of this role by taking personal responsibility for working toward the Company's Zero Injury principles
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision and maintain a high level of confidentiality
  • Must have adaptability to a variety of audiences including high level of professionalism required when working with clients and external stakeholders
  • Able to maintain records and documentation
  • Excellent customer service skills and ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Ability to successfully communicate to multiple levels of technical understanding
  • Advanced computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Type and write reports with accuracy and appropriate grammar
  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to multi-task
  • Ability to travel 10% of the time as needed

  • When visiting jobsites, the work environment involves some exposure to hazards or physical risks, which require following basic safety precautions
  • This work environment may involve moderate exposure to unusual elements, such as extreme temperatures, dirt, dust, fumes, smoke, unpleasant odors and/or loud noises
