Description Part-time: 20-32 hours per weekFully remote All summer internship applications requireboth a cover letter and resumeto be considered. This position will be posted until filled so we encourage you to apply as soon as possible. Summary: The Shared Services Grants Office is a team of 5 professional grant and contract experts who work with the entire MaineHealth system on grant activity outside of research. This internship will focus on the Community Health Improvement programs within the system. It provides an opportunity to learn about many different areas of community health and to develop a greater understanding of granting writing. The internship will consist of meetings with many program managers in the Community Health Improvement department and content writing for each of their program needs. You will work closely with the Director and Grants Officer in the Shared Services Grants Department to learn about grant proposals and how to craft persuasive stories that meet funder objectives. The internship will consist of writing program and project descriptions, and other needed content for grant proposals. Preference will be given to students pursuingEnglish, Journalism, Research, Creative Writing, Management, Psychology, Sociology,or other related areas of study.
