Position Highlights |
The Department of Disability and Psychoeducational Studies (DPS) located in the College of Education (COE) at the University of Arizona is seeking an accomplished educator to join our Counseling faculty. This will be non-tenure track Limited Term Adjunct Instructor to provide instruction during the summer 2025 session.
NOTE: The teaching schedule may be online, classroom- based, or hybrid depending on need. The Search Committee will begin reviewing applications in early March 2025. Duties & Responsibilities |
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Foster a positive learning environment for students.
- Instruct graduate students in Counseling during Summer 2025: SERP 580 Medical Aspects of Disability.
- Plan lectures and assignments
- Grade assignments, projects and exams
- Support students remotely through online technology,
- Work with Counseling faculty
- Perform other duties as assigned
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Strong content area background and teaching experience
- Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues
- Communicate effectively through spoken or written English

Minimum Qualifications |
- Ph.D. in Rehabilitation Counseling or a related field.
- Minimum of three years of experience teaching and supervising graduate students.
- Experience with CRCC certification process.

Preferred Qualifications |
- Experience with grant coordination and management.
- Experience with online learning platforms and remote supervision using online tools, such as D2L, Zoom, and recording tools
- Experience working with individuals with a wide range of educational, linguistic, and cultural backgrounds.
- Expertise in course and curriculum development.

In compliance with the Jeanne Clery Disclosure of Campus Security Policy and Campus Crime Statistics Act (Clery Act), each year the University of Arizona releases an Annual Security Report (ASR) for each of the University's campuses.Thesereports disclose information including Clery crime statistics for the previous three calendar years and policies, procedures, and programs the University uses to keep students and employees safe, including how to report crimes or other emergencies and resources for crime victims.
