In-office Expectations: This position is hybrid in-office, with the ability to work remotely for up to 2 days per week.

The Product Delivery and Operations (PDO) partners with product development, design, and technology. We work across departments and teams to facilitate effective collaboration and delivery of valuable products to our customers in a timely manner. As a Program Manager, you will lead a complex, intra-team and cross-team initiative portfolio for our Consumer Brands mobile apps program. As a natural leader, you will leverage your program management expertise to organize and lead execution of a program that directly contributes to our business vision and strategy. Ultimately, the program manager should be motivated by a desire to optimize productivity and nurture program success from inception to completion.

The Role's Minimum Qualifications and Job Requirements:

  • Program Management:

    • Organize and actively manage the health and progress of projects within your program to ensure they contribute to the success of the business area.

    • Partner with team leads and internal stakeholders to help create short- and longer-term roadmaps and plans.

    • Moderate leadership discussions for the program to ensure transparency and alignment on progress and strategic vision

    • Lead efforts to mitigate risks, identify and help manage dependencies, keep stakeholders informed, and guide initiatives to completion.

    • Establish effective communication and facilitate outcome driven collaboration between all involved parties.

    • Develop program assessment protocols for evaluation and improvement to cultivate a culture of continuous improvement.

    • Drive agility on your teams, facilitating the timely delivery of products and initiatives which delight users and stakeholders alike.

    • Maintain organizational standards of satisfaction, quality, and performance

    • Lead efforts with the rest of the program management team to evolve, scale, and enhance program management templates and processes

  • People Management

    • You may oversee one Project or Program Manager, if desired.

    • Provide guidance, support, and professional development opportunities.

    • Foster a collaborative and high-performance work environment, encouraging effective communication and teamwork.

The Role's Minimum Qualifications and Job Requirements:

  • You have proven experience managing the full mobile application development lifecycle (concept to launch) for iOS and/or Android platforms.

  • You have excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with engineering, design, product, and marketing teams

  • You possess excellent communication and organizational skills, with a talent for facilitating collaboration and empowering your team. You are assertive and situationally aware, and you are passionate about continuous improvement and transparency.

  • You are well-versed in and a proponent of the Agile principles and manifesto. You are able to balance it with a drive to organize, plan and forecast, and being flexible enough to adapt practices to specific teams and the organization.

  • You are someone people look to as a leader.

  • You are comfortable operating in ambiguous situations and helping teams arrive at a decision

  • You balance between competing interests and diverse personalities to get alignment.

  • You are proactive, anticipate your team's needs, and spring into action to drive results.

  • You are willing to roll up your sleeves and have a "can-do" spirit.

  • You have administrative experience in using software ticketing tools, especially Jira and Confluence

  • You are able to work with remote teams, teams distributed across time zones, and teams located overseas.

Experience:

  • You have 7+ years of experience as a project or program manager.

  • You have 5+ years experience as a Scrum Master for software development teams and/or non-technical teams that were diligently applying agile principles, practices, and theory.

  • Experience, insight, enthusiasm, and an ability to learn eclipses classroom learning and certifications.

Pay Range

Salary: $140,000 - $156,000

The pay range above represents the anticipated low and high end of the pay range for this position and may change in the future. Actual pay may vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to work location, experience, and performance. The range listed is just one component of Dotdash Meredith's total compensation package for employees. Other compensation may include annual bonuses, and short- and long-term incentives.
