Role
Description
The
Data
&
AI
Technical
Architect
is
a
customer-facing
strategic
position
within
the
Solutions
Engineering
organization.
With
a
blend
of
business,
technical,
and
sales
skills,
the
Technical
Architect
acts
as
a
domain
expert
who
utilizes
a
consultative
approach
to
understand
business
and
technical
requirements.
A
Technical
Architect
helps
our
customers
achieve
a
true
omnichannel
customer
experience
by
applying
their
deep
industry
knowledge,
understanding
of
data
systems
and
integrations,
and
experience
designing
enterprise
solutions.
Technical
Architects
help
the
sales
teams
develop
and
refine
a
customer-centric
technical
sales
strategy
and
Salesforce-solution
fit.
As
a
Data
&
AI
Technical
Architect
,
you'll
act
as
a
trusted
advisor
to
our
customers,
guiding
them
through
Agentforce
and
Data
Cloud
solutions
and
ensuring
they
realize
the
full
value
of
the
platform.
You'll
combine
deep
technical
domain
expertise
in
Data/AI/ML,
data
infrastructure,
and
CRM
with
strong
presentation
and
solutioning
skills.
Working
side
by
side
with
our
Account
Executives,
Solutions
Engineers,
Product,
and
Product
Marketing
teams,
you
will:

Build
and
present
Proof
of
Concepts
within
sandbox
environments
to
highlight
the
value
of
agents
and
unified
customer
data
with
real-world
use
cases.
*
Provide
technical
leadership
during
pre-sales
engagements
by
assessing
customer
use
cases,
recommending
optimal
solutions,
and
shaping
the
overall
technical
vision
for
Agentforce
and
Data
Cloud
within
their
ecosystem.
*
Champion
standard
methodologies
around
Data/AI/ML,
data
integrations,
and
the
Salesforce
platform
to
drive
innovation
and
customer
adoption.
*
Create
and
deliver
relevant
content demos,
videos,
white-papers,
enablement
sessions-to
both
internal
and
external
audiences,
establishing
yourself
as
a
leader
with
vision.
Responsibilities

Lead
and
deliver
customer-facing
Proof
of
Concepts
(POCs)
to
prove
the
solution's
business
value
to
the
customer.
*
Tackle
Sophisticated
Problems
:
Research
customer
challenges,
architect
innovative
Data
&
Agentforce
solutions,
and
drive
key
technical
decisions.
*
Drive
Adoption
&
Value
:
Promote
platform
adoption
by
driving
additional
business
use
cases
with
the
customer.
*
Showcase
Real-World
Solutions:
Partner
with
Sales
and
Solutions
Engineering
to
build
compelling
demos
and
prototypes
that
illustrate
immediate
ROI
and
practical
use.

Facilitate
Workshops
:
Orchestrate
targeted
workshops
that
drive
technical
approaches
and

with

customer's

and
priorities.

Develop
Cross-Platform
Solutions

analytics

Lead
Technical

Leadership

Learn

Tinker:
Continually
participate

product,
sales,
and
training/certifications

Required
Qualifications
*
Technical
Pre-Sales/Consulting
:
5+
years
in
solutions
engineering,
architecture,
or
technical
consulting,
ideally
in
B2B
SaaS.
*
Data
and
CDP
Expertise:
Salesforce
Data
Cloud
platform
experience
to
support
pre-sales
engagements.
*
AI
Knowledge
:
Experience
with
machine
learning
concepts
(predictive
and
generative
AI),
plus
the
ability
to
communicate
value
to
diverse
audiences.
*
CRM
Knowledge
:
Familiarity
with
Salesforce
CRM
and
modern
data
stacks;
comfortable
discussing
governance,
security,
and
integration.
*
REST
APIs
&
SDKs
:
Proven
track
record
to
leverage
APIs
and
SDKs
to
build
robust,
scalable
solutions.
*
Excellent
Communication
:
Strong
presentation
skills;
adept
at
explaining
sophisticated
ideas
and
guiding
partners
toward
impactful
solutions.

Public
Cloud
Service
Providers:
Knowledge
of
scalable
computing
resources
via
cloud
environments
like
Amazon

Data

of

such
as
Snowflake
and
Databricks.

Travel:
Remote

Preferred
Qualifications

Data
Cloud
and/or
Agentforce
implementation
experience.

Expertise
in
designing
and
implementing
data
integrations
across
various
systems.

Hands-on
work
with
Generative
AI,

Language
Models
(LLMs),
agent-based
frameworks,
and
prompt
engineering.
*
Proven
experience
presenting
and
demonstrating

senior

and
technical
stakeholders.

with

For California-based roles, the base salary hiring range for this position is $158,200 to $211,680.
For Illinois based roles, the base salary hiring range for this position is $158,200 to $211,680.
