Position Summary: We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Accounts Payable Manager to oversee and optimize our AP processes, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and compliance. This role is responsible for managing invoice processing, expense reimbursements, and payment disbursements while maintaining strong relationships with vendors and internal teams. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of financial controls, compliance requirements, and system optimizations to enhance department efficiency.
Responsibilities: * Oversee all aspects of Accounts Payable including invoice vouchering and disbursements, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of payments * Maintain and optimize Concur expense reimbursement system, ensuring compliance with internal policies. * Provide exceptional customer service to vendors and corporate team members * Compile, analyze and report financial information to management, auditors and government agencies * Manage the period end AP close process and support identification of invoices for accrual * Develop, implement and enforce policies and controls to increase accuracy, efficiency and compliance * Identify and lead implementations of systems to reduce paper and increase efficiency * Maintain Accounts Payable records * Manage annual preparation of tax forms, including forms 1099 & 1042-S, in compliance with current IRS regulations * Hire, train and evaluate AP employees to ensure all department objectives are met * Develop and foster cross functional relationships to ensure successful outcomes with key stakeholders including Purchasing and Legal * Manage internal and external audits for the AP Team, ensuring compliance with SOX requirements, including reviewing and updating SOX narratives as needed, with a focus on the accuracy and completeness of Information Provided by Entity (IPE) * Act as back-up for Corporate Travel (AMEX) and P-Card (VISA) credit card programs * Generate reports and compile data to support Aggregate Spend reporting requirements Education/Experience Requirements: * Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance or related discipline preferred. Equivalent combination of education and applicable job experience may be considered * Minimum 6+ years Accounts Payable experience in a fast-paced and continuously changing work environment. Pharmaceutical/Biotech experience desired * Minimum 2-5 years of previous management or lead experience * Strong PC skills - proficiency in Excel required * Proven ability and desire to work in a team environment * Must have a customer service attitude that builds and enhances positive relationships within the organization and with vendors * Ability to make sound judgments as pertains to company policy

No role is expected to be 100% remote. Target Base Pay Range: $112,000.00 - $145,000.00
