YOUR OPPORTUNITY We have an exciting Mechanical Inspector opportunity in our Merriam office. The Mechanical Inspector will be responsible for completing daily inspection of Seaboard Food's company trailers and tractors located at the St Joseph plant in addition to shuttling trailers to various locations. RESPONSIBILITIES Preventive Maintenance on tractors and trailers Communicate to the maintenance supervisor about repairs needed Coordinate through dispatch moving the equipment to and from maintenance locations Trailer wash outs Coordinate through dispatch moving trailers from customer to plant Local runs CORE COMPETENCIES FOR SUCCESS IN ALL ROLES: instilling trust, communicates effectively, action-oriented, ensures accountability, and drives results. QUALIFICATIONS Required: High School or GED. Class A CDL license required Analytically and mechanically minded. Local driving experience preferred SCHEDULE Monday - Friday 4:00 am to 12:00 pm. Primarily an outside environment While performing the duties of this job, the employee occasionally works near moving mechanical parts; and in outside weather conditions and is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles and vibration.
