JMT's growing Structures Team is seeking to add a dynamic Bridge Project Engineer to their Richmond, Virginia Office. This position will provide a variety of bridge design experiences, giving a well-rounded opportunity for professional development and growth. The Bridge Project Engineer will design bridge and transportation structures of varying complexity in accordance with AASHTO and VDOT Specifications. The Bridge Project Engineer will receive general supervision from the Project Manager and will assist with project management responsibilities as appropriate. Working Conditions Work is performed in the office 90% of the time. Work is generally sedentary in nature but may require occasional standing and walking. Lighting and temperature are adequate and there are no hazardous or unpleasant conditions caused by noise, dust, etc. within the office environment. Field work is required approximately 10% of the time where work will be conducted outside in heat/cold, wet/humid, and dry/arid conditions. Some lifting (up to 50 lbs) may be required as needed.
