Role Description

The Launch Marketer, Parasiticides Global Commercial Development, will be responsible for leading specific global commercial development activities related to global launch planning for new products and lifecycle extension for currently marketed products, creation of new product launch assets, long-term forecasting, and transfer of key assets to local marketing teams across the global petcare portfolio.

Responsibilities focus on assisting with long- and medium-term strategy across the Petcare Parasiticides portfolio, including critical assessment of commercial needs for pipeline development. Forecasting responsibilities include assisting in long-term valuations of currently marketed Petcare Parasiticides products and products in research and development, as well as taking a leadership role in working with US and international marketing teams to consolidate and validate new product and new claim values (short-term innovation) and volumes. This role assists in gaining Sr. leadership endorsement of final global financial and manufacturing forecasts. This role also develops and executes global pre-launch plans for key products, including market and asset development: global naming, branding, positioning, message development, and global creative (i.e., key visual, brand book, e-detailer, creative execution, etc.) with input from a team of global marketing colleagues. The final global materials are transferred to local marketing teams for adaptation at the local level and for launch execution. This role requires significant communication and coordination with lead and key markets.

This position will engage frequently with various Zoetis business functions including Research & Development, Business Analytics / Market Research, Manufacturing & Supply, Finance, Diagnostics, Strategic Pricing and US and International Commercial Operations to ensure the commercial strategy, forecasts, launch plans and materials are aligned with these key stakeholder groups.

This position will report to the Portfolio Innovation Lead, GCD Petcare Parasiticides, and will be focused on the span of innovation timelines (from short- to long-term innovation). As a colleague in the GCD organization, the Launch Marketer models Zoetis core beliefs and communicates the importance of conducting business in a manner consistent with these values and behaviors.

Responsibilities:

  • Strong participation in Global Asset Team meetings to ensure alignment across pipeline and in-line asset management.
  • Contribute to long-term brand and therapeutic area and lifecycle plans and activities.
  • Assist with long- and medium-term strategy across the Petcare Parasiticides portfolio.
  • Assist in long-term valuations of currently marketed products and products in research and development
  • Lead commercialization forecasting and participate in/influence final global forecasts for new

products and new claim values and volumes.

  • Develop and execute global pre-launch plans, asset and market development for new products.
  • Align markets to specific pre-launch and launch activities and ensure local support.
  • Execute successful transfer of knowledge and materials ensuring consistency of global execution
  • Collaborate with other functions (Research & Development, Manufacturing & Supply, Finance, Business Unit Directors, Global Diagnostics, Country Managers, In-country Marketers) to ensure alignment and timely execution of plans.
  • Partner with Business Analytics to better understand market and customer dynamics, leverage insights in brand planning and measure post launch performance.
  • Oversee for assigned projects external partner relationships, including agencies

.Qualifications:

  • BS/BA and relevant experience required. MBA preferred.

  • 5+ years of related experience and a proven record demonstrating successful in-line brand marketing including successful launch and communications management.
  • Exposure to product development process and/or new product launch experience.
  • Strong financial analysis and significant experience in forecasting in-line and new products.
  • Proven ability to manage budgets and expenses.
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams in developing and executing brand launch activities, programs and tactics to optimize launch and achieve share and revenue targets.
  • Ability to organize and prioritize multiple projects in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Strong analytical thinking, attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong oral, written and interpersonal communications skills.
  • Ability to work effectively with global colleagues across many countries and cultures.

Possesses in-depth knowledge and expertise in marketing disciplines, brand management, market research, communications strategy, customer/consumer insight, and integrated marketing material development.

Job Location:

Preferred locations: Parsippany, New Jersey or remote

The following base pay range reflects the anticipated base pay for this position if a selected candidate were to
be located in (Colorado). Base pay may vary based on location and other factors.

Base Pay Range: $110,000 - $150,000

The following base pay range reflects the anticipated base pay for this position if a selected candidate were to be located in (California), (NJ Remote), (NY Remote), or (Washington). Base pay may vary based on location and
other factors.

Base Pay Range: $120,000 - $180,000

[This position is eligible for short-term incentive compensation.] [The position is also eligible for long-term incentive.]
