Solution Designer - LAN / WLAN

Accountable for the end-to-end service, program/project delivery and ongoing management of a specific IT Solution/Product. Manages virtual functional team to ensure that the IT Solution/Product is optimized to achieve business goals while maximizing return on investment. Translates business requirements into technical IT requirements.

Solution Owner - LAN/WLAN is responsible for service design including technical design, functionality, configuration, performance and quality of Next Generation LAN and WLAN solutions along with Service Owner. This is a global position for enabling the upcoming IT Digitalization by preparing the Network ready to meet business needs including:

  • Aligns the solutions with the IT Infrastructure Architecture and Nokia IT Security requirements
  • Designed solutions must meet Nokia business requirements and be deployable and supportable by service providers
  • Coordinates solution provisioning and deployment by IT providers
  • Assist with various service incidnets and problems
  • Assist Service Owner with service road maps.
  • Performs the necessary acceptance and assures the quality after the realization for IT solution
  • Manages the design of Lan / WLAN solutions, guides the IT service providers' technical solution team, performs the necessary acceptance and assures the quality after the implementation for the solution
  • Cooperation with Nokia Cyber Security, Business Stakeholders, IT Infrastructure Architects and Service Owner, He/She performs and validates requirements analysis, prepares demand requests to providers and evaluates technical solution proposals from the service providers
  • Participates in the preparation of project proposals, the project business case and in the implementation of projects
  • Provide the support to It providers and Operational Governance team for escalated cases
  • Works directly with Nokia products used internally (ION, NSP), used internally to provide Access Network services to the company.
  • Bachelors' degree or engineering degree in Telecommunications/Information Technology/Computer Science or equivalent
  • Minimum of 8-10+ years' experience in Network services, deep knowledge of and management in complex environment
  • Certified candidates with CCNP(R&S) or CCNP (wireless) or knowledge in Nokia products will have added advantages
  • Deep technical knowledge and understanding of LAN and WLAN technologies and monitoring tools
  • Deep technical knowledge of Aruba AOS Wireless LAN platform
  • Capable to understand and solve independently complex issues related to LAN, WLAN and office connectivity in often ambiguous circumstances.
  • Working experience of Tools (Aruba Airwave, Moogsoft, Nokia NSP, etc.), processes, support team's coordination
  • Knowledge of Nokia ION hardware and software is helpful.
  • Requirement gathering experience and develop business cases
