Job Description Summary

Benefits Analyst - Programs

The Benefits Analyst provides analytical and strategic support in the delivery and auditing of benefit programs to ensure smooth administration of policies and programs. Manages assigned projects, engaging internal and external resources to ensure timely completion. Serves as subject matter expert for administration and governance of Sunbelt's programs.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Serves as the subject matter expert resource for our Vacation, Recognition/Service Awards, Tuition Assistance, Tool Allowance Program, and more in both the US and Canada.
  • Manage the US Employee Relief Fund and coordinate (as needed) any needs with our vendor.
  • Will serve as main point of contact for escalations on these programs.
  • Responsible for testing systems when programming changes are needed due to program enhancements/changes or union negotiations.
  • Assists in drafting, reviewing and updating benefit program communications. This includes maintaining and updating the team member portals.
  • Responds to benefit program inquiries from managers and team members on plan provisions and other general inquiries.
  • Coordinates files to payroll team for programs that are taxable to the team member.
  • Creates more efficient business processes to support a complex and multi-layered organization.
  • Oversees routine and ad hoc audits of benefit programs to ensure continued accuracy of data. This includes ensuring data between internal and external systems to are accurate.
  • Manages limited scope projects using best practices in project management and ability to meet deadlines with a high degree of accuracy. This includes projects that may arise from a Request for Proposal with a new vendor.
  • Participates in Human Resources Technology (HRT) meetings and partners with the HRT team to identify, suggest, and implement ongoing process improvements in Workday and other systems.
  • Prepares regular benefit reports extracting data from the database; identifies and resolves data discrepancies.
  • Supports compliance with applicable government regulations by monitoring new requirements and recommending internal process changes.
  • Manage other benefit program duties and projects that come to the team.

Requirements:

Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources or a related field or equivalent work experience of 3-5 years in Human Resources.
  • Experience with complex data analyses, benefit programs and business process recommendations is preferred.
  • Experience with ServiceNow preferred.
  • Ability to understand Sunbelt Rentals' culture and leverage that as a positive means of achieving objectives.
  • Ability to work independently and effectively prioritize work and manage deadlines.
  • Ability to multitask successfully.
  • Strong follow-through skills and ability to resolve issues in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, organizational and planning skills, including demonstrated ability to: problem solve, communicate effectively, and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Maintain highly confidential employee information and files.

Physical Demands:

Must be able to bend, squat, crouch and/or reach and lift up to 25 pounds or more, as required by the job. Some Sunbelt jobs may require driving for long periods of time, loading and unloading heavy equipment, performing work in extreme weather conditions including rain, wind or excessive temperatures and/or night and weekend work. All duties must be performed according to Sunbelt's safety policies and guidelines. Reasonable accommodations may be made to comply with ADA/ADAAA.

Base Pay Range: $57,070.00 - 78,471.80

Sunbelt also provides a comprehensive benefits package to its full-time employees. This package includes health, dental and vision plans, 401(k), volunteer time off, short-term and long-term disability, accident, life and travel insurance, as well as flexible spending, tuition reimbursement, college savings, EAP and length of service awards. You will become eligible for benefits on the first of the month following 30 days from your start date. Sunbelt offers team members the following time off from work, subject to Sunbelt's policies: twelve to twenty-five vacation days depending on years of service; five sick days; six paid holidays, two paid half day holidays, two floating holidays, one inclusion day, and one volunteer day (unless specified in a collective bargaining agreement).
