Genesis10 is currently seeking a IT PMO Manager with our client located in Austin, TX. This is full-time, hybrid role.

Responsibilities:


  • Oversee the development, execution and performance of all projects within the PMO portfolio from initiation through completion ensuring they adhere to organizational policies and established standards, stay within budget, meet deadlines and deliver the intended scope
  • Manage the project intake process, ensuring priorities are understood, projects are aligned with organizational goals, and expectations are met throughout the project life cycle
  • Manage and develop staff by fostering a collaborative and high-performance team environment
  • Provide guidance, support and professional development opportunities to ensure each member thrives and contributes to collective success
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with other department leaders to ensure effective collaboration and alignment with organizational priorities
  • Promote a culture of continuous improvement by identifying opportunities for enhancements and efficiencies in PMO policies, processes, and methodologies
  • Analyze project financials and chargebacks to ensure accuracy in reporting, and optimal project performance and resource utilization
  • Effectively communicate and manage project expectations to leadership, sponsors and stakeholders in a clear and concise manner
  • Develop and implement risk management strategies to identify, assess, and mitigate project risks, ensuring minimal impact on project delivery
  • Monitor KPIs to identify any problems or inefficiencies and provide actionable strategies to improve and enhance overall project performance
  • Promote and implement effective change management practices to ensure smooth adoption of changes resulting from technology initiatives
  • Keep abreast of new and emerging technology trends and make recommendations on potential benefits and uses for the Association
  • Actively participate as a member of the IT Leadership Team
  • Assist in other projects and/or assignments as requested



Requirements:

  • Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business, and/or equivalent work experience
  • At least 10 years of experience in project management, including the planning, execution and delivery of custom software development and SaaS implementation projects
  • At least 5 years of experience in a people management role, leading and mentoring project managers and business analysts
  • PMP certification
  • Proficiency in project management methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall) and tools (e.g. MS Project, MS DevOps, Visio)
  • Understanding of budgeting, financial analysis, and chargeback methodologies
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills to interact with stakeholders at all levels
  • Highly organized with strong time-management skills, capable of managing multiple priorities simultaneously
  • Ability to manage the team, manage conflicts, and strive for excellent customer service
  • Aptitude for identifying issues and developing effective solutions
  • Willingness to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams
  • Ability to prioritize the needs and expectations of internal and external stakeholders
  • Skilled in the use of Microsoft Office
