(Remote)Airframe Analysis Engineer

An Airframe Analysis Engineer job with Belcan Engineering Group is currently available in Lexington KY or via remote support. This job is a full-time direct position or contract. To be considered for this role, you will need Bachelor"s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Aerospace Engineering, and experience in airframe structural analysis.

Job Duties:
*Perform structural analysis using Finite Element Analysis (FEA) as well as classical hand stress calculations
*Perform plan, model, and results reviews, internally and with the customer
*Ensure that calculations and models are systematically checked and validated
*Perform analysis, evaluate results, and prepare formal reports of the findings
*Liaison with other teams as required and interact with OEM customers
*Maintain strong communication with internal project team and customer
*Manage your own project work and provide mentorship to others

Required Qualifications:
*Bachelor"s degree in Mechanical Engineering or Aerospace Engineering
*Five or more years of experience performing airframe structural analysis and possess strong technical ability
*Solid understanding of structural load paths and failure modes
*Hand calculation skills and Finite element analysis capabilities using Femap/Nastran (FEA)
*Ability to work independently, while adhering to strict timelines
*Static and fatigue analysis experience
*Mentoring or leadership experience
*Experience taking control of a task from start to finish
*Must have good interpersonal skills and willing to work in a team environment
*Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills
*Must have excellent computer skills
*Legal authorization to work in the US required
*Travel to customer and work site locations as required

Preferred Qualifications & Skills:
*VBA or similar programming skill set
*Interiors analysis experience

We provide a competitive pay and benefits package. This position is offering a salary rate of $85,000 to $120,000 however, Belcan considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to education, experience, geographic location, and discipline.
