JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
Microsoft Suite Proficiency:
The Systems Engineering Manager will be expected to utilize the Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.) to manage documentation, communicate project status, track milestones, and generate reports. Strong proficiency in these tools is essential for organizing and presenting complex data and updates in a clear and concise manner.
Strong Communication Skills:
Effective communication is crucial for this role, both in internal team coordination and in liaising with external stakeholders. The Systems Engineering Manager will need to communicate technical information to various departments, ensuring everyone is aligned on project goals, timelines, and deliverables. This includes regular updates to management, team members, and external contractors or vendors.
Document Management:
The Systems Engineering Manager will be responsible for managing and organizing project documentation. This includes maintaining accurate records of design specifications, project plans, engineering changes, and regulatory documentation. The ability to handle and track complex documents is a key aspect of this role to ensure smooth project execution.
Weekly Project Coordination:
The Systems Engineering Manager will lead the coordination of weekly project meetings, providing status updates, reviewing project timelines, and addressing any issues that may arise. This will involve cross-functional collaboration to ensure that the engineering team, stakeholders, and external partners are on track and that project milestones are met.
Pharmaceutical Manufacturing Engineering (Upstream and Downstream):
A key responsibility will be leveraging technical experience in both upstream and downstream pharmaceutical manufacturing engineering. This includes understanding and applying systems engineering principles to the design, development, and execution of large-scale pharmaceutical manufacturing projects. The candidate should be familiar with the technical challenges and processes involved in both the production and processing stages of pharmaceutical manufacturing.
Engineering Systems Conceptual Design, Development, and Execution:
The Systems Engineering Manager will be involved in conceptualizing, designing, and implementing complex systems related to pharmaceutical manufacturing. This includes the planning and execution of system integration across multiple facets of production, quality control, and regulatory compliance. They will play a lead role in developing innovative solutions to improve efficiency and reliability in the pharmaceutical manufacturing process.
In addition to the main responsibilities outlined above, the Systems Engineering Manager may be required to take on additional ad hoc tasks related to ongoing projects, departmental needs, or unexpected challenges that arise during the project lifecycle. The ability to adapt to changing priorities and handle unexpected challenges is essential in this dynamic role.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
* Pharma background (GMP)
* Pharmaceutical Design / Engineering for CDMO facilities
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
* B.S. Degree
* 3+ years of with pharma design
* Experience with document management.
* Weekly project coordination.
* Technical experience pertaining to Pharmaceutical Upstream and downstream manufacturing engineering / design.
* Engineering systems conceptual design, development and roll out / execution on large Pharmaceutical projects.
