The beautiful Cape Fox Lodge is seeking an experienced Restaurant Manager to join the team. The Restaurant Manager is responsible for running the day-to-day operations on the designated assigned shift in Heen Kahidi Dining Room located within the Lodge. The shifts may include working weekends and evenings. Responsibilities may extend to other locations such as the Eagle's Nest. Duties include managing the staff and operations, providing excellent customer service, ensuring staff are safe and that all food safety procedures are followed according to regulations. Having a keen attention to detail and being able to prioritize tasks are some of the key qualities required for a Restaurant Manager.

Duties and responsibilities include:



  • Recruit, interview, hire with the team and train new employees.
  • Handle customer complaints.
  • Assist with advertising the daily, weekly and monthly promotions of the bar.
  • Ensure staff is following all food control and safety regulations.
  • Assist with employee schedules based on expected customer numbers.
  • When applicable, handle monies and balance end-of-day paperwork.
  • Extend a warm welcome to guests, cultivating a friendly and engaging atmosphere in the bar.
  • Demonstrate effective multitasking abilities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Skillfully prepare and serve a diverse range of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, ensuring uniformity, quality, and appealing presentation.
  • Possess in-depth knowledge of our beverage menu, encompassing cocktails, wines, beers, and spirits, along with awareness of ongoing promotions and specials.
  • Offer personalized recommendations to guests based on their preferences and the occasion.
  • Promote the restaurant's food menu and specials to guests.
  • Maintain a hygienic and well-organized restaurant area, adhering to health and safety regulations.
  • Efficiently restock and replenish food service inventory and supplies, ensuring optimal stock levels throughout service.
  • Accurately process guest transactions, handling various payment methods with precision.
  • Monitor and manage guest intoxication levels responsibly, in adherence to alcohol service guidelines.
  • Verify customers' identification to ensure compliance with legal drinking age requirements.
  • Collaborate seamlessly with fellow team members to deliver impeccable service and create a memorable guest experience.
  • Work with the restaurant team to implement any changes and new items on the menu.
  • Implement appropriate strategies to resolve adverse trends and improve sales.
  • Review budgets and maintain expenses and labor to stay within budget guidelines.
