Details: Job Title: Cost Analyst Location: Borger, TX Zip Code: 79007 Job Type: Contract Keywords: #costanalyst #accounting #RefineryJobs JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: * Lead role in project cost tracking and forecasting. * Supervision of contract employees hired to assist with turnaround cost tracking efforts. * Provide daily cost forecasts during turnarounds, with a level of detail that enables decisions to control costs and meet budget expectations. * Prepare monthly cost accruals and reconcile accruals in the following month. * Prepare and deliver PowerPoint presentations to communicate project cost status and cost forecasts. * Assist the Turnaround and Technical Teams with preparation of their annual budgets. REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: * Legally authorized to work in the job posting country * Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance and or 4 years equivalent experience * Proficient in the use of SAP modules Project Systems, Plant Maintenance, and Materials Management. * Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Microsoft Word, and Outlook). Preferred: * 5 or more years of project cost tracking and forecasting experience. * Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (oral, written and presentation). * Working knowledge of Primavera scheduling software. * Works well under pressure and able to meet deadlines. * Works independently without much supervision. * Functional expertise in accounting/finance. * Proficient with cost tracking systems. * Strong analytical skills.
