A remote Structural Stress Analysis Engineer job is currently available. This is a direct, full-time position with benefits. To be considered for this role, you will need a Bachelor of Science degree in the engineering field, preferably Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering, and a minimum of 5 years of experience analyzing airframe structure.

Job Duties:
Perform structural analysis for large commercial aircraft primary fuselage structure
Perform detailed sizing and static stress evaluation of parts and assemblies
Extract and utilize finite element analysis internal loads data
Produce stress finite element models to support sizing and structural analysis
Produce structural analysis substantiation Strength Check Notes/Reports
Produces work packages in conformance to the technical work statement scope, schedule and quality.
Works independently or in teams to evaluate design sufficiency and improve analysis processes
Effectively presents (oral and written) engineering requirements and results
Works effectively in an IPT environment and across facilities and groups

Required:
-5 years" experience performing aerospace structural analysis
-Good understanding of aircraft metallic structures analysis, manufacturingprocesses, and materials
-Experience with initial structural sizing and detail structural analysis
-Proficiency in classical static stress analysis and allowable determination
-Proficiency in linear static finite element modeling and analysis
-Proficiency with Microsoft office tools
-Must be a US Citizen

Preferred:
-5 years" experience performing airframe structural analysis
-Must have previous Boeing experience
-Experience with Boeing analysis toolsets (IAS, CSW, FEADMS, FAMOSS, MOSS Duberg, IDTAS, DTANL, SA) preferred
-Proficiency in fatigue analysis preferred
-Damage tolerance analysis experience preferred
-Experience with Boeing composite structural analysis methods and allowables determination preferred
-Previous Boeing Co. primary fuselage structures analysis experience preferred
-Experience with MSC PATRAN and NASTRAN preferred
-Experience with ENOVIA LCA & CATIA V5 is preferred

We provide a competitive pay and benefits package. This position is offering a salary rate of $105,000 to $155,000 however, Belcan considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to education, experience, geographic location, and discipline.
