Atlantic Region CBO (uhs.com)

The Atlantic Region CBO is seeking a dynamic and talented Education Coordinator.

The primary responsibility of the Education Coordinator is the development, maintenance, and delivery of education initiatives including management training and implementation-related education for all functional processes of the CBO. This person demonstrates strong management skills and behaviors in addition to continually striving to meet and exceed customer expectations.

Key Responsibilities include:

  • Develop and implement competency based education programs as necessary for each functional area including train-the-trainer and end-user related programs.
  • Integrate and deliver management training programs to leadership team.
  • Work closely with the Director, Assistant Director, Human Resources Manager and CBO Managers to improve education and to assure training of new end-user is completed timely and appropriately
  • Develop and implement communication activities in the CBO
  • Strategize and coordinate with department heads and managers to integrate new standards, models and organizational improvements.
  • Complete weekly work lists for the education between of the end-user
  • Resolves issues associated with education between other internal departments of the CBO and external departments of the facilities served.
  • Develop and conduct New Hire Orientation. Assures that all new staff members are adequately trained before they are assigned to respective department
  • Develops a continuing education program on new trends in Patient Accounting or new processes
  • Reviews payer websites for provider news that needs to be provided to staff. Includes providing new information from Government payers such as Medicare and Medicaid.
  • Must demonstrate commitment and adherence to STHS's Compliance Program and Code of Conduct through compliance with all policies and procedures, the Code of Conduct, attendance at required training and immediately reporting suspected compliance issues to the Compliance Officer.

Qualifications

Position Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree and 1-3 years leadership or training experience preferred
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills (Excel, Word, Outlook)
  • Previous experience in a team lead or supervisory role (preferred)
  • Customer focused both internally and externally, strong attention to detail, the ability to multi-task, strong 10 key data entry, and excellent written and oral communication skills are required.
  • Familiarity with customer service and 3-5 years healthcare business office experience preferred.
