As a Vendor Risk Assessment Coordinator Intern, you will be challenged and offered the opportunity to make an impact across the business and be involved in the company's most critical business decisions.This role is flexible for a hybrid schedule from Portland, Maine. How you'll make an impact
Supporting the Vendor Management Team in assessing vendor risks. Working to clear the backlog of US and international vendors and ensure they are in compliance with WEX's regulatory requirements. Data entry for vendor diligence analytics. Driving operational improvements through specific project-based work. Align with Business owners and Global Sourcing for new vendor selection. Reviewing incoming materials for gaps and potential risks. Actively lead internal projects around vendor management process improvements. Work closely with multiple lines of the business and bring strategic visions to key initiatives. Learn and operate within WEX's P2P and Vendor Risk tools. Monitor data for relevant risk changes with the tool and escalate as needed.
Experience you'll bring
At a minimum, you should be a rising junior, senior, OR masters-level student, in a degree/certificate-seeking accredited program. Strong project management skills, including planning and execution. Strong written and verbal communication skills, including presenting information. Strong quantitative, analytical and problem solving skills. Strong interpersonal, leadership and communication skills. Ability to work in a dynamic, collaborative environment. Experience and working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and/or Google sheets is a plus. Prior experience in Procurement is desired, but not required.
The base pay range represents the anticipated low and high end of the pay range for this position. Actual pay rates will vary and will be based on various factors, such as your qualifications, skills, competencies, and proficiency for the role. Base pay is one component of WEX's total compensation package. Most sales positions are eligible for commission under the terms of an applicable plan. Non-sales roles are typically eligible for a quarterly or annual bonus based on their role and applicable plan.
