Senior Construction Manager

STV's growing Transportation and Infrastructure group in our Douglasville, Harrisburg, Philidelphia, PA or Lawrenceville or Newark, NJ office is seeking Construction Manager(s) with highway, bridge, and rail experience for multiple long term $25M - $1B bridge, highway and rail reconstruction projects. These individuals should possess inspection experience with asphalt, concrete, rail and steel inspection experience, and the appropriate certifications. If you have a High School Diploma/GED, NICET, NECEPT Bituminous/Concrete, ACI Concrete certification, and/or an AS or BS in Civil Engineering, and enjoy working outdoors, we want to hear from you.

Minimum Required Skills & Relevant Experience:

  • STV's Construction Management and Inspection (CM&I) Group is experiencing significant growth and is seeking an experienced Senior Project/Construction Manager or Senior Resident Engineer to assist in managing and growing the highway, bridge, and rail CM&I practice in PN and NJ.

    This individual should be well versed in bridge, highway, and rail construction practices, and have experience working on projects for multiple public agencies including the NJ Turnpike, NJDOT, NJ TRANSIT, DRPA, PennDOT, PA Turnpike, SEPTA and AMTRAK. This individual must have business relationships with these agencies, be experienced with business development, oral presentations and preparing technical and cost proposals. Must be knowledgeable with project finances and preparing subconsultant contracts.

    Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Leading a team of resident engineers, construction inspectors, and on-site teams.
  • Promoting and enforcing a culture of safety and providing guidance to field teams.
  • Participating in executive level project meetings with clients.
  • Confirm that document control measures and communication protocols are properly implemented.
  • Developing and monitoring KPI's to track project performance, risk, and trends.
  • Forecasting the level of effort required of field teams and office staff to effectively support construction oversight.
  • Required Skills & Relevant Experience

    Bachelor's degree in civil, structural engineering or construction management.

  • PE Required
  • Minimum 20 years of project/construction management experience on transportation projects.
  • Licensed professional engineer in New Jersey and/or Pennsylvania. Experience with business development and preparing technical and cost proposals. Possess strong written and oral communication skills and ability to multi-task.
  • Construction management software experience (CapEx, FACS, Site Manager, Buzzsaw, etc.). Have combination of NJSAT, ACI, ACI CCTC and Rutgers TCC and rail safety certifications. OSHA 30 required or ability to obtain
  • Minimum of 8 years railroad track, systems, and catenary inspection experience
  • Certified Weld Inspection (CWI) certification

Compensation Range:

$173,071.45 - $216,339.32
