Inventory Control Specialist I (4am-12:30pm shift)

About this Role:
  • Shift: 4am-12:30pm Mon-Fri, some overtime required

  • Supports the execution of all processes and procedures related to inventory accuracy for the Logistics Center.

  • Performs warehouse bin accuracy and maintains inventory shrink.

  • Utilizes Warehouse Management System and various types of material handling equipment.

What You'll Do:
  • Investigates inventory discrepancies and takes appropriate corrective action to resolve.

  • Investigates bin location variances and takes appropriate corrective action to resolve.

  • Researches problem orders and receipts for the Logistics Center.

  • Inputs data into warehouse management system, databases and reporting tools.

  • Performs system entries to maintain inventory and bin accuracy to include: cycle counts, pick exceptions, bad box, lost bin, found bin, pick paths and bin maintenance.

  • Collects, maintains and provides detailed statistics and reports on various performance measurements.

  • Performs to quality standards in multiple functions.

  • Meets attendance and punctuality standards.

  • Performs additional duties as assigned

What We're Looking for:
  • Strong organizational and time management skills to complete tasks efficiently.
  • Ability to work independently and adapt to changing priorities.
  • Comfortable lifting and transporting up to 50 lbs.
  • Basic math skills for inventory tracking and order processing.
  • Proficiency with computers, including data entry and warehouse management systems.
  • Problem-solving mindset to analyze issues and implement solutions.
  • Effective communication skills to collaborate across teams and with leadership.
  • Ability to operate material handling equipment safely and effectively.
  • Strong attention to detail to ensure accuracy in inventory and shipping.
  • Resilience under pressure and ability to meet deadlines.

Working Conditions:

  • Distribution center environment which includes exposure to work at varying heights; extreme temperatures; moderate and consistent noise levels, hot and dry or wet and/or humid conditions; and outside weather conditions.

  • Ability to position oneself to meet physical demands of position.

  • Occasional non-standard work hours or overtime as business requires.

  • Be knowledgeable of all safety practices relating to welding processes.

  • Able to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.
