They safeguard the assets of the firm through an independent scrutiny of the financial information and ensure accurate reporting to internal and external consumers. They provide critical metrics and related analysis to the firm's and divisions' leadership to navigate the evolving business strategy, including incumbent and strategic initiatives. Controllers play an important role in the changing landscape of the firm, including its new business ventures and acquisitions, and ensure that these new initiatives are in line with the regulatory expectations as well as controlled in terms of their incorporation into the firm Engineers in the Controllers Division help ensure the firm meets all of its financial control and reporting obligations. Working in small and nimble teams, we build critical and complex software to calculate P&L, measure and monitor the firm's capital, balance sheet and liquidity metrics, and regulatory filings across the globe. OUR Impact:Controllers Engineering is responsible for designing and implementing solutions to manage firm's P&L, measure and monitor the firm's capital, balance sheet and liquidity metrics, and regulatory obligations. Our global agile teams (based across Americas, EMEA & Asia) develop and manage the platforms, calculation engines, and analytical tools that controllers, risk management, and deal-making teams use to project, monitor and report externally to regulatory for both regular business activity and under stress scenarios. Controllers Data Office (CDO) is a group within Controllers whose primary responsibility is to partner with users and the technology organization to expand and improve the strategic data architecture that supports Controllers workflows YOUR Impact:CDO is uniquely positioned within Controllers to work on projects that span multiple Controllers Groups. CDO helps to ensure that business data needs are met with technology solutions. Additional CDO responsibilities include implementing the Firm's data governance policies. Ensuring that the data used for reporting requirements is well understood and of the highest quality available. We are a global team. We work with divisional stakeholders, to provide transparency into where data enters the firm, how it is transformed/reported/classified, and what data quality controls exist for critical datasets. Our internal clients use this information to gain insights - aiming to eliminate duplication, improve data quality, respond faster to new business opportunities, and to meet regulatory requirements. Our users need to search and visualize the firm's data flows.
