Job Overview The Senior Program Manager drives strategy execution by providing direction, planning, and execution for the tech portfolio they support. They guide multiple project teams across various domains, maximizing resources and ensuring deadlines are met. Responsibilities include managing program risks and issues, overseeing program financials, change management, ROI analysis, stakeholder management, and program governance. Effective communication tailored to the audience is a key aspect of this role. Additionally, this position may involve managing relationships with third-party vendors. The Senior Program Manager collaborates with constituent Project Managers to monitor cost, schedule, and technical performance of component projects and operations, ensuring the overall success of the program. What You Will Do
Skills You Will Need Strategic Leadership: Ability to drive strategy execution by providing direction, planning, and execution for the supported tech portfolio, guiding multiple project teams across various domains to ensure coordination and standardization of integrated solutions. Project Management: Proficiency in overseeing all program-related activities, ensuring accountability for successful execution and final delivery of the program and its work products within budgetary and schedule constraints. Stakeholder Management: Experience in managing relationships with third-party vendors, collaborating with constituent Project Managers to monitor cost, schedule, and technical performance, while effectively communicating with executive management, project teams, and stakeholders. Communication Skills: Outstanding written and verbal communication skills, along with the ability to develop tailored communication plans and customize strategies to address the needs of different audiences. Analytical Abilities: Strong analytical skills with attention to detail, including extensive understanding of project management principles, methods, and techniques, and proficiency in conducting ROI analysis and risk assessments. Problem-solving and Decision-making: Ability to address program issues by identifying and selecting a course of action, considering program constraints and objectives to enable continued progress, and adjusting approaches based on research and experience. Flexibility and Adaptability: Flexibility in response to change, with the ability to anticipate technical and project barriers and adjust approaches accordingly, while concurrently managing multiple project types. Technical and Business Knowledge: Possession of advanced technical and business knowledge, particularly in software development, policy development, and retail operations, along with general knowledge of major systems and their integration. Team Management and Interpersonal Skills: Sound team-building and interpersonal skills required to effectively manage multi-skilled projects throughout the deliverable process, fostering consensus between technology and business stakeholders. Negotiation and Conflict Resolution: Extensive negotiation, diplomacy, and conflict resolution skills, along with the ability to build consensus and manage expectations while providing excellent customer service. Documentation and Organization: Outstanding documentation, organization, time management, and problem-solving skills, along with advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite Products. Continuous Learning: Demonstrated ability to customize communication strategy to a given target audience, along with the eagerness to continuously learn about emerging technologies, industry trends, and new methodologies.
