Licensed Practical Nurse - School Nurse

Pay From:
$35 per hour

MUST:

1+ years of Licensed Practical Nurse experience

Must have 1 plus year of experience working as a School Nurse

Must have a current and good standing Licensed Practical Nurse (Licensed Practical Nurse) DC license

Must have a current CPR certification

Must be technology savvy

Adolescent/Triage experience a plus

Strong interpersonal, communication, analytical, and organizational skills

Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Ability to work in both the well-child area as well as the area for students with health concerns which may include COVID-19

Ability to innovate, problem solve, and think creatively

DUTIES:

Licensed Practical Nurse Integrates knowledge, skills, and clinical experience to meet the needs of students, their families, and the community

Utilizes standards and guidelines for care delivery

Serves as a clinical resource and provides individualized patient education

Coordinates care for students with outside medical professionals

Maintains student confidential files and records

Works in both the well-child/first aid area as well the area for students with health concerns which may include COVID-19

Uses and adapts to a wide array of technology as tools to support the Health and Wellness Program; actively updates computer and software skills

Provides courteous and appropriate communication with students, parents, faculty, and staff

Assist in being a practitioner of diversity, equity, and inclusion

Uphold the School's professional standards including punctuality, courtesy, and discretion

Perform other duties as assigned
