Part-Time Research Engineer

This position is for a part-time research engineer to join the Wickert Research Group.

Design, assemble, and program field-capable data loggers and sensors for scientific research. This includes circuit design, circuit-board layout, circuit-board assembly, firmware production (primarily in C/C++), software production, enclosure design, enclosure assembly, environmental protection (e.g., temperature, water ingress), and field installation. Successful candidates should be able to produce robust designs and minimal power consumption.

5% - Attend research meetings and laboratory events as designated by your supervisor.

Requirements: MS in electrical engineering.

The St. Anthony Falls Laboratory (SAFL) is an interdisciplinary fluid mechanics research lab and educational facility under the College of Science and Engineering at the University of Minnesota.

Fixed Pay Range: $60.00 per hour
