Nuclear Document Management Assistant - Harris Nuclear Plant

Summary

The incumbent serves as a Document Control and Record Management advisor and consultant for Document Management and Information Services (DMIS) teammates as well as supports nuclear personnel on matters relevant to the control of QA and business records. Ensures receipt and inspections of controlled document revisions. Also assists management in various phases of Nuclear Site Engineering and Operating documents, using the latest technology for work processes and procedures, adhering to regulatory and industry requirements.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Supports the Controlled Document and Information Services team ensuring the required quality of work is achieved in accordance with expectations, procedures, applicable regulations.
  • Reviews, understands, and provides constructive feedback on Document Control and Records
  • Management processes.
  • Determines appropriate work prioritization, problem resolution, and work-flow management to mitigate.
  • backlogs.
  • Resolves customer process and documentation needs and recommends new ways to control documents.
  • Participates in peer groups, industry focus groups, assessments, and benchmarking activities.
  • Initiates and completes assignments within the Corrective Action Program.

Basic/Required Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • 2-5 years of related experience.

Additional Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working with controlled documents and records.
  • Experience working in a Nuclear environment.
  • EDMS, (i.e., Action Request, Controlled Documents), Historical Records Systems (DEP), Record Retention.
  • ScanPro, microfilm/microfiche readers, Kodak scanner, QA Vault knowledge.
  • Adobe and Microsoft Office.

Working Conditions

  • Primarily in an office environment with prolonged sitting.
  • Occasional call outs and outage duty coverage on nights and weekends.
  • Some lifting of hard copy records.
