Job Summary

Are you a visionary IT leader with a passion for driving innovation and excellence? As the Senior Manager, Information Technology Practice, you will play a pivotal role in shaping our IT engineering strategy. Reporting directly to the Senior Director, JMCRS IT, you will define and execute the vision and strategy for the software engineering discipline, fostering an environment where the practice can thrive. With a laser focus on continuous improvement, you will set ambitious goals and objectives, ensuring our IT initiatives align with organizational goals.

This role offers the flexibility of remote work. Periodic travel to a JAX campus is required (expected 4-6x per year)

What You'll Contribute

  • Develop and implement IT practice strategies that align with the organization's goals and objectives.
  • Oversee dedicated IT resources executing projects from inception to completion, ensuring they are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement best practices to enhance IT discipline delivery.
  • Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including business leaders, vendors, and partners.
  • Develop and manage the IT practice budget, ensuring efficient allocation of resources.
  • Ensure IT practices comply with relevant regulations and standards, and maintain robust security measures to protect organizational data.
  • Stay updated with the latest technology trends and innovations, and recommend new technologies that can benefit the organization.
  • Enhance efficiency, quality, and agility within the IT discipline, optimizing project outcomes.
  • Apply hands-on knowledge of Agile Frameworks, preferably Scrum and/or SAFe.
  • Demonstrate a strong understanding of software development methodologies, tools, and best practices.

What You're Good At

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field required
  • At least 4 years of proven experience in IT management or a similar role.
  • In-depth knowledge of agile software delivery models, software engineering, systems, and best practices.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work under pressure.
  • Strategic thinking and problem-solving.
  • Strong analytical and decision-making abilities.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

The salary range is $98,885 - $165,554. Salary will be determined based on qualifications and relevant experience.
