CORE RESPONSIBILITIES AND TASKS




  • Primary responsibilities include the management and development of finished goods labels and automated marketing materials.

    • Label Management Includes: managing a high-volume of label development and commercialization projects at varying stages from start to finish, reviewing Label Requests Forms, contributing to workflow/process improvements, help schedule production tasks for designers, implement accurate and efficient production practices.

      • Collaborate with the Project Coordinator and/or Creative Services Manager to schedule work for designers
      • Ensure proper product, regulatory and cautions content is provided
      • Document, monitor and improve the label development workflow
      • Develop, uphold, and refine SOPs to ensure accuracy and best practices, adapting them to meet current and evolving business needs
      • Continuously and proactively vet and evaluate process enhancements to streamline and automate tasks
      • Contribute to review and set up of new label requests through our Project Management Software, Workfront
      • Commercialization responsibilities for all PCG divisions' labels including collaborating with external vendors like MCC, label printers and manufacturing plants
      • Offer reference material, guidance, and training for designers to optimize use of InDesign, EKSO/WebCenter
      • Collaborate with key stakeholders, including Product Managers, Regulatory and Legal teams in order to accurately and efficiently produce labels
      • Manage the production schedule, work, and deployment of labels being completed by external freelance designers
      • Quality assurance by reviewing labels done by designers and freelance designers


    • Label Development Includes: regulatory updates, formula changes, updates to outdated branding or changes in branding, new label claims & new products.

      • Collaborate with the Project Coordinator and/or Creative Services Manager on graphics and layout.
      • Ensure proper logos, languages, and label templates are utilized.
      • Interact with Regulatory Services to ensure compliant label information.
      • Ensure accurate product family information is assigned to new products.
      • Utilize the Design to Launch (EKSO/WebCenter) label system to route labels for approvals from Regulatory, Legal, Spec Group, and others as appropriate. Make required revisions and forward files to the appropriate printer(s).

    • Maintain EKSO/Webcenter super user/admin status by being PCG lead contact, facilitating process improvements, requested training, and updating documentation as needed.



  • Talent Development: experienced team leader and working manager, responsible for managing and developing a direct report..

    • Support the development of individuals' knowledge, skills and abilities to build a high-performance culture.
    • Assess and identify development goals for a direct report and support their readiness for professional growth.

  • Secondary responsibilities include the design of marketing materials and other graphics requests as needed for 6 Performance Coatings Group (PCG) divisions.


    • Concept and design a wide variety of marketing and sales collateral like ads, brochures, catalogs, logos, packaging, event invitations, signage, digital imagery, html emails, landing pages and other marketing requests that align with Sherwin-Williams Corporate and Performance Coatings Group guidelines, using existing templates wherever possible.
    • Ensure a consistent brand experience
    • Ensure all assets used in marketing materials such as purchased and internally produced images are properly used and uploaded with required information into Digital Asset Management systems.
    • Prepare press-ready files for printed marketing collateral (sell sheets/product slicks and brochures) working from existing templates where feasible.
    • Manage a high volume of work in a fast-paced environment



POSITION REQUIREMENTS

FORMAL EDUCATION:

Required:



  • Must have an associate's degree or higher in Graphic Design



KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE:

Required:



  • Must have at least 6 years of experience in Graphic Design
  • 3+ years' people management experience
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience managing labeling and product packaging in a regulated industry.
  • Strong portfolio demonstrating a variety of print and packaging samples
  • Effective verbal and written skills
  • Attention to detail, exceptional organizational skills, and the ability to manage a high volume of projects simultaneously while meeting tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Collaborative work style
  • Strong business acumen; able to work cross-functionally as a subject-matter expert to implement and enforce best practices.



Preferred:



  • Experience with ESKO
  • Experience with Workfront, Project Management Software
  • Experience with Product Database Management Systems (such as HEARs)
  • Experience with Digital Asset Management Systems



TECHNICAL/SKILL REQUIREMENTS:

Required:



  • Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator)
  • Microsoft Office Suite
  • Project Management Software



Preferred:



  • Adobe Dreamweaver
  • Adobe Premier Pro and After Effects



TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS: (TIME SPENT AWAY FROM HOME OR OTHER TYPICAL OFFICE LOCATION)



  • 10%



WORK SCHEDULE:



  • Monday through Friday, 37.5 hours per week
