Product Owner - Healthcare SaaS Role Overview:

Join our fast-growing healthcare startup as a Product Owner, where you'll help design intuitive, workflow-driven healthcare applications. Collaborate with the Product Manager and cross-functional teams to optimize clinical and administrative workflows, translating them into seamless digital experiences. Drive products from concept to implementation in a dynamic SaaS environment.

Responsibilities:
  • Workflow Optimization

    • Analyze and map current healthcare workflows to identify digital transformation opportunities.
    • Work closely with healthcare professionals to understand pain points and process inefficiencies.
  • User Experience & Design Collaboration

    • Provide input on UI/UX design, ensuring alignment with healthcare professionals' needs.
    • Contribute to user journey mapping and workflow documentation.
    • Assist in prototyping and user testing, gathering feedback for product improvements.
  • Product Strategy & Roadmap

    • Work with the Product Manager to prioritize features and enhancements.
    • Support the development of a product roadmap that balances user needs, business goals, and technical feasibility.
    • Ensure product specifications meet healthcare compliance standards (e.g., HIPAA).
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration

    • Work with engineering & QA teams to ensure accurate implementation of designs.
    • Communicate user needs effectively across teams in a fast-paced startup environment.
Qualifications:
  • 3+ years of experience in product ownership, preferably in SaaS healthcare applications.
  • Strong expertise in workflow analysis & optimization for clinical & administrative processes.
  • Experience collaborating with UI/UX teams to create user-centric designs.
  • Familiarity with SaaS product development cycles and startup challenges.
  • Proficient in creating user journey maps and workflow documentation.
  • Knowledge of healthcare compliance regulations (e.g., HIPAA).
  • Excellent communication skills to articulate workflow requirements to cross-functional teams.

Determining compensation for this role (and others) at Vaco depends upon a wide array of factors including but not limited to:

  • the individual's skill sets, experience and training;
  • licensure and certification requirements;
  • office location and other geographic considerations;
  • other business and organizational needs.

With that said, as required by local law, Vaco believes that the following salary range referenced above reasonably estimates the base compensation for an individual hired into this position in geographies that require salary range disclosure. The individual may also be eligible for discretionary bonuses.
