Interim Senior Accountant \| Hybrid Birmingham, AL Our Vaco team is partnering with a consumer services client to support with some Senior Accounting support. This is a hybrid position, with on-site for initial training period and then 3days on-site. We are looking for a strong Senior Accountantto support with some manual journal entries, as they are going through a system implementation. Additional work could include variance analysis, reconciliations, and other month-end close related duties. This role will require someone to be local to the greater Birmingham area, as it will be heavily on-site to start with flexibility for hybrid opportunities after initial training period. As a Senior Accountant your typical day may involve: Performing assigned monthly, quarterly, and annual general ledger closing processes Assisting in the development of financial statements and reports Reviewing and explaining variances to budget/forecast and to previous reporting periods on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis Preparing journal entries and monthly account reconciliations Working closely with other functional areas and business management to resolve issues and support achievement of business goals Our consultants have access to our benefits and 401K options, as well as our extensive network of resources, including professional development, holiday and bonus opportunities, and more. *This is an interim/contract position, yielding 40 hours/week Must be willing to work on-site in greater downtown Birmingham area.
