Division of Experimental Medicine - Assistant, Associate, or Full Professional Researcher

The Division of Experimental Medicine is now recruiting for a Professional Researcher at the Assistant, Associate, or Full rank. The selected candidate is expected to:

* Lead a research program to investigate the mechanistic basis of monocyte differentiation to mature macrophages and dendritic cells in the context of Mycobacterium tuberculosis infection.

* Oversee the activities of a Staff Research Associate or Specialist performing investigative laboratory work related to the primary and related themes of the research program.

* Contribute to training of graduate and post-baccalaureate students in the laboratory.

* Contribute to overall management of the laboratory and the Biosafety Level 3 and Animal Biosafety Level 3 facility.

Required qualifications:

* PhD degree with documented applicable experience in tuberculosis research involving animal models.

* Postdoctoral level knowledge and experience investigating myeloid cell biology in the context of M. tuberculosis infection.

* Documented experience in BSL3 and ABSL3-contained research.

* Ability to work independently and as part of a larger team.

* Excellent communication skills and experience in public presentations of research results.

Preferred qualifications:

* Ability to obtain peer-reviewed extramural funding to support research efforts.

* Experience with laboratory and animal colony management.
