Position Summary

Maintain the Quality System Databases. Input data and provide analysis of trends regarding quality metrics required for continuous improvement program. Provide detailed review of Certifiable Deliverables supporting certification of OII-MSD production work. Provide status of quality programs including but not limited to surveillances, deficiencies, audits, and critiques data from the Quality Database. Provide Project Status Reports. Enter data into quality database systems in support of OII-MSD functions. Oversee Quality Issue / Critique program corrective actions tracking and the closure process. Some overtime may be required.

SCOPE

Expectations of this function are:



  • Self motivated, focused individual with strong attention to detail and high ethical standards.
  • Strong familiarity with various word processing and data base software.
  • Ability to interface and work as part of team of managers, trades and technical personnel.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Ability to synthesize diverse information (technical, schedule) and exercise good judgment.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality when exposed to personnel information is a must.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Comply with OII-MSD company policies, safety requirements and Core Values.
  • Data Entry. Input records into a central Quality database and be responsible for the tracking and reporting of data.
  • Provide assistance in maintaining a central Quality Database and promoting data integrity.
  • Analyze and manage quality data collected including but not limited to critique report construct, rework data, first pass quality statistics (corrective actions and preventative actions).
  • Establish and maintain schedule for resolution of Quality deficiencies related to critique program.
  • Effectively and efficiently communicate with appropriate individuals and departments for clarification and to ensure resolution of outstanding issues.
  • Data preparation / presentation is required, on which; management bases its important corporate decisions.
  • Improving safety through training and employee awareness. Enforcing safety policies to reduce injuries and holding individuals accountable for poor safety practices.
  • Provide performance metrics for the OII-MSD organization.
  • Provide assistance and support to the Quality department as required

Qualifications

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

EDUCATION:

High School/GED with additional education preferred such as trade or industrial school.

EXPERIENCE:



  • Two (2) years of practical knowledge of quality assurance programs and quality control inspection systems.
  • Working experience with data record and tracking software such as Microsoft Excel and Access and other Microsoft Office products. Knowledge:
  • Strong computer skills. Working knowledge of MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint and MS Project and Peoplesoft experience is a plus.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
