The Senior Manager for Performance Reporting is responsible for leading the development and implementation of business intelligence strategies and reporting solutions for the Workforce and Performance organization. This role encompasses strategy development, team leadership, report design, and stakeholder collaboration on reporting and visualization initiatives. Success in this role requires a proven track record in the business intelligence ecosystem and experience working with leadership teams to develop long-term strategies that deliver measurable business value. The individual must thrive in high-volume, fast-paced, and dynamic data environments while collaborating with data teams to build robust visualization layers. Key responsibilities include understanding how data is stored and accessed, defining strategies for reporting consumption, and creating a roadmap to enable self-service capabilities for field teams.

This leader must effectively manage a team, work closely with data integration and enterprise technology teams, and communicate clearly to ensure a thorough understanding of the data ecosystem and solutions. The individual will support BI engineers in developing KPIs and metrics on top of the data layer and must possess experience handling large datasets using BI tools, as well as managing end-to-end BI projects. Given the organization's fast-changing nature, the ability to explore, develop, and implement new KPIs and address emerging challenges is critical. The role also demands expertise in designing and delivering scalable dashboard solutions while staying current with the latest BI technologies and tools to ensure the team remains innovative and effective. Additionally, the Senior Manager will engage directly with various internal stakeholders, including senior executives, and must excel at simplifying complex data insights into clear, actionable communication.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategy Development: Lead the creation and execution of BI reporting strategies that align with business goals and objectives.
  • Team Leadership: Manage and mentor a team of BI analysts and developers, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and innovation.
  • Report Design: Design, develop, and maintain dashboards, reports, and visualizations that provide actionable insights.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with business leaders to understand their reporting needs and deliver tailored BI solutions.
  • Data Management: Understand how data is stored and exposed to define strategies around reporting consumption and build a roadmap for self-service capabilities.
  • Process Optimization: Continuously improve BI reporting processes and tools to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
  • KPI Development: Define and develop metrics, KPIs, and dashboards to support new programs and initiatives.
  • Data Analysis: Use data and business knowledge to find new ways to answer key business questions.
  • Self-Service Enablement: Enable a self-service semantic layer for data analysts in the field.
  • Data Visualization Strategy: Define a data visualization strategy that enables a scalable, self-service experience with minimal tools and cost.
  • Performance Monitoring: Develop and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the success of BI initiatives.
  • Vendor Relations: Oversee relationships with BI tool vendors and service providers to ensure optimal performance and support.
  • Training and Support: Provide training and support to end-users to maximize the value of BI tools and reports.


Qualifications:

Minimum

  • Bachelor's degree in a related discipline and 8 years' experience in the data and visualization space, with a proven track record of managing BI projects and teams.
  • The right candidate could also have a different combination, such as a master's degree and 6 years' experience; a Ph.D. and 3 years' experience in a related field; or 20 years' experience in a related field
  • 3+ years' experience in management or leadership role
  • Experience with business intelligence (BI) platforms and data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, OBIEE) including designing, developing, and deploying scalable dashboard solutions.
  • Experience with data warehousing concepts, SQL, and data analysis techniques to effectively query, manipulate, and interpret complex datasets from diverse sources (e.g., AWS cloud datasets, on-prem Oracle systems).
  • Experience with managing end-to-end BI projects, including requirements gathering, data modeling, KPI development, and stakeholder communication, to deliver actionable insights and enable self-service reporting capabilities.


Preferred

  • 10+ years of experience in the data and visualization space, with a proven track record of managing BI projects and teams.
  • Relevant certifications in BI tools or data analytics are a plus.


USD 131,600.00 - 219,400.00 per year

Compensation:

Compensation includes a base salary of $131,600.00 - $219,400.00. The base salary may vary within the anticipated base pay range based on factors such as the ultimate location of the position and the selected candidate's knowledge, skills, and abilities. Position may be eligible for additional compensation that may include an incentive program.

Benefits:

The Company offers eligible employees the flexibility to take as much vacation with pay as they deem consistent with their duties, the company's needs, and its obligations; seven paid holidays throughout the calendar year; and up to 160 hours of paid wellness annually for their own wellness or that of family members.
