Job Summary:

The Office of Student Financial Aid is seeking motivated individual to join our Student Engagement team! This role presents an exciting opportunity to engage UW-Madison students in two important and intentional ways: scholarships & employment! While overseeing several teams of undergraduate students, this role will support both the Wisconsin Scholarship Hub and the Student Jobs platform. The Scholarship & Employment Specialist also has the unique opportunity to foster both campus and community partnerships.


Responsibilities:
Plans, schedules, and monitors day to day operational, financial, and service delivery activities for a designated information technology service or services and facilitates customer and stakeholder communications to ensure business requirements are met according to customer needs and requests. May participate in the performance management process for unit employees.

  • 20% Assists in the development of strategic planning initiatives and unit objectives for information technology services
  • 30% Plans and directs the day-to-day operational activities for service development, implementation, and maintenance of assigned services and projects
  • 20% Proposes, develops, and implements unit operational policies and procedures to align with unit strategies and objectives
  • 5% Assists with the development and monitoring of the unit budget
  • 20% Serves as the primary liaison to service vendors and stakeholders regarding service updates, offerings, issues, and concerns
  • 5% DEM is committed to the highest standard of service. This position will be a role model by practicing exemplary and respectful behaviors in all interactions.

Qualifications:

Successful candidates should have strong organizational and problem-solving skills. Individuals should have strong interpersonal skills and demonstrated ability to work collaboratively. Candidates should also demonstrate strong technical background and skills and have experience supervising a team.

This position may require some work to be performed in-person, onsite, at a designated campus work location. Some work may be performed remotely, at an offsite, non-campus work location.
