The Imaging Services Manager is responsible for planning, organizing, and directing the daily activities in the Imaging Departments. The Imaging services Manager ensures compliance with all applicable regulatory standards with regard to the provision of patient care. The Imaging Services Manager assists the Director with formulating the department operating budget and performance improvement activities.
The Imaging Services Manager, USC Care and Ambulatory Services is responsible for leading the overall operations of regional imaging services across Keck Medicine of USC outpatient clinic locations. This position provides supervision to technical imaging staff/support staff, while ensuring high-quality patient care, efficient workflows and regulatory compliance. In addition, this position must be able to lead daily operational functions to include but not limited to patient/customer satisfaction, administrative responsibilities, equipment oversight, quality assurance, financial management, and clinical performance with a commitment to foster a collaborative environment across our regional imaging modalities. Essential Duties:
- Responsible for the supervision of the Imaging Staff at assigned clinical locations, including scheduling, staffing, and resource allocation to ensure optimal workflow and patient throughput
- Responsible for maintaining a quality assurance program - implement and monitor quality control procedures including but not limited to radiation dose tracking and reporting, to ensure the highest standards, maintaining compliance with all regulatory and accreditation requirements.
- Responsible for facilitating cross training of personnel where possible.
- Responsible for serving as consultant and instructor for all imaging personnel to prepare them for and assist them in their duties.
- Responsible for the clinical competencies and evaluation process of the Imaging staff.
- Responsible for reporting quality control, quality assurance and radiation safety issues as a member of the Radiation Safety Committee .
- Assists with the supervision and clinical instruction of the assigned radiology technology students.
- Responsible for the timely repair and servicing of all radiology equipment.
- Willingly performs other related duties, task or project outside immediate work area as assigned
- Acts as a mentor to and is a source of information for less experienced Radiology Technologist.
- Acts as an ambassador of good will when interacting with all staff members and other departments.
- Uses the chain of command appropriately to communicate any concerns with the department, co-workers or medical staff.
- Exhibits organizational skills and utilizes time efficiently.
- Position requires availability via text/phone while on duty and after-hours including nights and weekend.
- Takes a leadership role in the development of radiology resources to accomplish daily task.
- Handles difficult situations in a discreet and professional manner.
- Demonstrates ethical behavior in decision making and the performance of services.
- Assists maintaining technical staff license records.
- Maintains staff/patient confidentiality.

- Delegates authority and responsibility appropriately to assure smooth progression of the daily workbook
- Assists Executive Administrator in planning of budget and fiscal accounting.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications:
- Req High School or equivalent
- Req Bachelor's Degree Radiologic or Nursing Science or related field. *If no Bachelor degree present at time of hire, must be enrolled in said degree and attending courses.
- Req Specialized/technical training Graduate from an AMA approved radiologic tech program or from another accredited program in an imaging modality.
- Req 2 years Minimum two (2) years' experience in a leadership role (manager, supervisory or lead technologist)
- Req Excellent oral and written communication skills; ability to communicate effectively.
- Req Strong organizational, time management and planning skills.
- Req Ability to effectively handle multiple tasks, changing priorities, stressful situations and complex assignments
Preferred Qualifications: Required Licenses/Certifications:
- Req Basic Life Support (BLS) Healthcare Provider from American Heart Association
- Req Fire Life Safety Training (LA City) If no card upon hire, one must be obtained within 30 days of hire and maintained by renewal before expiration date. (Required within LA City only)
- Req Registered Technologist - R.T. (ARRT) ARRT Registration or certification for another imaging modality
- Req Certified Radiologic Technologist (CA DPH) State of California Certified Radiologic Technologist (CRT) with Fluoroscopy or national license with another imaging modality, ie American Registry of Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologist (ARMRIT)
The annual base salary range for this position is $133,120.00 - $219,648.00.
