The Rutgers Institute for Nicotine and Tobacco Studies is undergoing dynamic and transformative growth. With a team of 20 full-time core faculty and over 20 skilled research and support staff, the Institute's efforts are focused on their mission of reducing and ultimately eliminating, tobacco-related morbidity and mortality. The Institute is recruiting for a Non-Tenure Track faculty position to support activities of the Institute. Applicants should have demonstrated knowledge and experience in tobacco control and/or public health. Responsibilities in this position include research project management, and scholarly dissemination.

Qualifications


Minimum Education and Experience
An earned doctoral degree in a relevant discipline, such as public health, psychology, health communication, public policy, health services research or degrees in medicine, nursing or other clinical fields who have advanced research training and experience are encouraged to apply.
Certifications/Licenses
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Knowledge and experience in tobacco control science is essential. Excellent project management and collaboration skills are required. We are seeking candidates with exceptional communication skills and a demonstrated track record in supervising staff.

Overview
Successful candidates will devote the majority of their effort to research activities within INTS, with some time allocated to other duties (e.g., teaching, mentorship, and service). Salary and academic rank will be commensurate with a candidate's achievements.

Immunization Requirements

Under Policy 100.3.1 Immunization Policy for Covered Individuals, if employment will commence during Flu Season, Rutgers University may require certain prospective employees to provide proof that they are vaccinated against Seasonal Influenza for the current Flu Season, unless the University has granted the individual a medical or religious exemption.
