Coborn's, Inc. is a fast-growing employee-owned grocery retailer located in the Midwest. Our grocery store formats include Coborn's, Cash Wise, Marketplace Foods, Hornbacher's, Tadych's Marketplace Foods, and Sullivan's Foods and we offer unique online grocery home delivery services through our CobornsDelivers and Cash Wise Delivers locations.

Coborn's, Inc. also owns and operates liquor stores under the Coborn's Liquor, Cash Wise Liquor, Andy's Liquor and Captain Jack's brands. Additionally, our fuel and convenience division, pharmacy, in-house grocery warehouse and distribution center, in-house Central Bakery, in-house Fresh Foods Commissary, and Tops Cleaners are significant assets to our operations. We also have a handful of other retail entities in the markets where the fit is right: Little Dukes, Ace Hardware, Country Floral Gifts & Greenhouse, Caribou Coffee, Dunn Bros Coffee, and Erbert and Gerbert's.

At Coborn's Inc., we are hiring for our new Director of Data Analytics! In this role, you will also develop the framework and processes that synchronize analytics efforts, empower continuous learning and improvement, and ensure compliance with data governance standards. Additional Duties Include:

Strategic Leadership

• Develop and execute a companywide IT Strategy for Data Analytics. Partner with business stakeholders to understand the company's analytical needs and develop a short- and long-term data analytics strategy that aligns with overall business objectives and goals.
• Evaluate and optimize data infrastructure and analytics tools-balancing performance and functionality with careful cost management-to meet evolving business needs.
• Develop and implement policies and frameworks that strengthen corporate best practices for analytics, data science, and AI/ML initiatives.

Project Management

• Lead large-scale, complex analytics projects, fostering cross-functional collaboration and delivering measurable business outcomes.
• Partner with business analytics teams to implement strategic, impactful solutions that drive business value. Ensure a strong understanding of the data requirements and translate them into robust technical solutions.
• Establish enterprise-wide processes-such as project prioritization, resource allocation, and professional development opportunities-to standardize and elevate analytics operations.

Data Governance & Compliance

• Work closely with the Data Governance Committee to shape and maintain data governance standards, ensuring compliance, consistency, and data quality across the organization.
• Collaborate with the legal team to address data-related risks and policies.

Team Leadership

• Build and mentor a multidisciplinary team of analysts, data scientists, and program management professionals. Develop a culture that engages employees and builds team spirit and morale through recognition, development, accountability, coaching for talent development, and urgency.

Education and Experiance

• Bachelor's degree in Business Computer Information Systems or related field and a minimum of eight years related experience, with a minimum of five years experience of management experience leading analytics teams or managing analytics product portfolios.
• Must possess a strong IT background in delivering large scale data, analytics, data science or AI/ML solutions.
• Must have demonstrated the ability to engage effectively with executive stakeholders, presenting compelling insights and guiding strategic decisions.
• Experience working closely with data governance bodies to enforce standards, ensure data quality, and align policies with corporate objectives is preferred.
