Job Summary:
Join an exciting role as a HR Coordinator (HRC) on the L&S Faculty HR team serving more than 900 faculty within our college!
Under the general direction of the Assistant Dean for Faculty HR, the L&S HR Coordinator is responsible for delivering exceptional customer service, managing daily HR administrative activities, and providing technical and operational support to all academic units within L&S.
This role will work independently and collaboratively within the larger L&S HR team and with key partners across the college and campus. The L&S HR Coordinator ensures timely, efficient and best practices are utilized and promoted; they help triage, troubleshoot and find solutions to transactional processing inquiries; and they help meet overall organizational needs.

Responsibilities:
Creates and maintains human resources (HR) records, coordinates logistics for one or many HR functions, disseminates HR communications, and processes various HR specific transactions to ensure compliance with established rules and regulations
- 10% Creates and maintains various HR specific reports, databases, and/or records to ensure compliance with established policies, procedures, and legal rules and regulations
- 40% Enters, reviews, and processes HR transactions according to established policies and procedures
- 5% Schedules logistics and secures resources for recruitment processes, onboarding activities, payroll functions, and/or other HR related activities
- 15% Serves as a point of contact to employees, managers, and internal and external stakeholders. Responds to inquiries and escalates more complex issues to the appropriate authorities
- 10% Audits and tracks compliance for various HR functions such as performance evaluations, onboarding, off boarding, criminal background checks, and credentialing
- 20% Manages the dissemination of HR related communications to various audiences under the direction of leadership

Education:
Preferred H.S. Diploma or equivalent work experience
Qualifications:
Required Qualifications: - Experience using database, spreadsheet, and word processing software such as Microsoft Office, Google, and Adobe products - Strong administrative and organizational skills, such as experience working on projects/tasks requiring attention to detail - Strong verbal and written communication skills - Ability to work effectively in a high-volume and fast paced work environment - Ability to work independently and part of a team - Demonstrated commitment to customer service excellence and ability to offer responsive and solution-oriented assistance
Preferred Qualifications: - Prior experience working in an administrative or similar role in a professional office setting (Experiences in professional internships may be considered as prior experience) - Experience in human resources or related field - Experience with an Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system, such as PeopleSoft or Workday - Ability to apply equity, inclusion and belonging practices throughout assigned responsibilities
Work Schedule:
Typical business hours are 7:45am - 4:30 pm M-F Actual schedule will be determined at time of hire.

Salary:
Minimum $21.00 HOURLY Depending on Qualifications The typical starting salary for this position is $44,000 - $58,000 depending on qualifications and experience. Employees in this position can expect to receive benefits such as generous vacation, holidays and paid time off; competitive insurances and saving accounts; and retirement benefits.
