Job Summary:
The Communicable Disease Division (CDD) Support department is seeking a professional to join the team as a Lab Assistant (Medical Program Assistant). This position's primary job function will be data entry of laboratory test orders, received electronically or by requisition, in Epic Systems Beaker. The position will also facilitate clinical specimen transport, deliver customer service, and perform clerical tasks like sorting, scanning, and filing records both physically and electronically. Skill and experience following policies/procedures, and using Microsoft Excel is required. Previous experience with Epic Systems software is preferred. Other tasks and projects as assigned. A typing/keyboard entry test will be required at interview. This position is on-site at 2601 Agriculture Drive, Madison, WI 53718. Responsibilities: Performs administrative duties to support providers, staff, services, and unit programs. May serve as the primary contact or customer service representative and subject matter expert. Tracks, prioritizes, organizes, and completes multiple ongoing clinical, research or academic projects. Requires Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) and Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) knowledge or training.
