DESCRIPTION OF WORK

As a Fiscal Technician with PennDOT, you will be crucial in supporting the school bus stop arm enforcement systems program and managing invoices for construction, concrete, and steel inspection costs. You will effectively act as a liaison between internal customers, including PennDOT's office of chief counsel (OCC) and district offices, and external customers like Pennsylvania school districts. Furthermore, you will generate and process invoices for reimbursement from school districts and PennDOT district offices, and you will confidently write correspondence on behalf of PennDOT's accounts receivable program. Your contributions will ensure smooth operations and transparent communication within the agency. Interested in learning more? - Full-time employment
- Work hours are 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with 60-minute lunch. No alternative work schedule available.
- Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Harrisburg.
- Telework days would be Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays
- In-office on Wednesdays
- Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
- One year as a Fiscal Assistant; or
- Three years of work involving the maintenance of fiscal or financial records, including one year of responsible work which involves the application of accounting or fiscal principles and practices; and graduation from high school; or
- One year of experience in maintaining and reviewing fiscal records and an associate degree in accounting or business administration; or
- Any equivalent combination of experience and training.
