Job Summary

Under the general direction of the women's volleyball head coach, assist in all aspects of an NCAA Division I women's volleyball program including student-athlete recruitment, recruiting coordination, scheduling, team travel, scouting opponents, practice planning, equipment, marketing, assisting with the administration of summer camps and clinics, and administration of the women's volleyball program in full compliance with NCAA, conference, and university rules and regulations.

Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications - For full consideration, applicants are encouraged to upload license and/or certification if required of the position
* No educational minimum is associated with this position.
* Collegiate coaching or playing experience in the sport of volleyball.
* Knowledge of NCAA rules and regulations. Knowledge of the rules and strategies of volleyball. This includes, but is not limited to, teaching techniques, coaching strategies and safety measures that are necessary for the UC Davis student-athlete to compete at the collegiate level.

Preferred Qualifications
* Learn the complex policies and procedures regarding academic eligibility of UC Davis student-athletes. These include UC Davis, conference and the National Collegiate Athletic Association policies and procedures.

Department Overview
Assist the head women's volleyball coach in all aspects of an NCAA Division I women's volleyball program including student-athlete recruitment, recruiting coordination, scheduling, team travel, scouting opponents, practice planning, equipment, marketing, assisting with the administration of summer camps, and administration of the women's volleyball program in full compliance with NCAA, conference, and university rules and regulations. The University of California, Davis is a research university, currently with more than 30,000 undergraduate, graduate and professional students. The University of California, Davis sponsors 25 sports for men and women and is an NCAA D-I member with most sports competing in the Big West Conference.

Work Environment
UC Davis is a smoke and tobacco free campus effective January 1, 2014. Be CPR & First Aid certified bi-annually. Work irregular shifts, including weekends, holidays, and evenings. Work flexible schedule.
