Pantheon Data (a Kenific Holding company) is a private, small business based in the Washington, DC, area. Pantheon Data was founded in 2011, initially providing acquisition and supply chain management services to the US Coast Guard. Our service offerings have grown in the past ten years, including infrastructure resiliency, contact center operations, information technology, software engineering, program management, strategic communications, engineering, and cybersecurity. We have also grown our customer base to include commercial clients. The company has used this experience to expand our service offerings to other agencies within the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), the Department of Defense (DoD), and other Federal Civilian Agencies.

Position Overview

Pantheon is looking for a talented and experienced Mid-level UI/UX Designer to join our team. You will play a critical role in crafting user-centered experiences across all of our digital products.

Responsibilities



  • Designing intuitive and user-friendly interfaces: This includes creating wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity mockups that meet user needs and business goals.
  • Conducting user research: You will work closely with applications to understand user needs and pain points, and translate those insights into actionable design solutions.
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams: You will partner with product managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure a seamless user experience across all touchpoints.
  • Staying current on design trends and best practices: You will continuously learn and implement new design thinking methodologies to elevate the user experience.
  • Creating and maintaining a design system: You will establish and maintain a design system that ensures consistency and efficiency across our product portfolio.
  • Mentor and guide junior developers in UI/UX best practices.


Required Skills and Experience



  • 5+ years of experience supporting IT systems, including front-end design.
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related technical discipline.
  • UI/UX Design Tools: Mastery of design software like Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD, and prototyping tools for creating wireframes, prototypes, and mockups.
  • User Research: Experience with user research methodologies like interviews, surveys, usability testing, and data analysis to understand user needs and pain points.
  • Information Architecture: Ability to create clear and logical information structures for websites and applications.
  • Visual Design: Strong understanding of visual design principles like typography, color theory, and layout to create aesthetically pleasing and user-friendly interfaces.
  • Usability Testing: Ability to conduct usability testing and analyze results to identify usability issues and inform design decisions.
  • Design Systems: Experience with creating and maintaining design systems to ensure design consistency across products.
  • AWS (Amazon Web Services) and/or Microsoft Azure. Certification(s) a plus.
  • Strong knowledge of Git/GitHub and/or GitLab.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
  • U.S. citizenship required -- must be able to obtain DoD Secret Clearance.


Preferred Skills and Experience



  • Working knowledge of Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) pipelines and tools.
  • Experience working with DoD or federal clients is a plus.


Clearance Requirements

U.S. Citizenship with the ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret clearance.

Work Location: United States - Remote

  • If this position is assigned to a Pantheon Data office location or client site, you'll work with colleagues and clients in person, as needed for specific client requirements.


Compensation

The salary range for this position is $110,000 - $130,000. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
