The Faculty Affairs Department of the Keck School of Medicine is seeking an outstanding Faculty Affairs Coordinator to join our team. The Faculty Affairs Coordinator will report to the Executive Assistant of Faculty Affairs. This position will be responsible for assisting in the coordination of a wide range of diverse administrative tasks, projects, and processes that support the operations of Faculty Affairs.

Job Accountabilities:

  • Assists with the development, coordination, and implementation of office procedures.
  • Assists in the management of office functions and website.
  • Organize meetings and events.
  • The position will cover such other tasks including calendar management, processing reimbursements, and purchasing/ordering office supplies.
  • Draft communications and manage incoming emails regarding all faculty related inquiries
  • Oversee student worker(s) assignments.
  • Also assisting with distribution of other work in the office of Faculty Affairs.

Successful Candidates Must Demonstrate:

  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
  • Customer service mentality to work closely with over 26 departments and institutes at the Keck School of Medicine
  • The ideal candidate must have excellent skills in organization, communication, writing, time management, with strong attention to detail, interpersonal relations, task prioritization, and the ability to work independently.

Hybrid Position:The job requires, at minimum, 3 days on-site per week.

The hourly rate range for this position is $37.11 - $53.00. When extending an offer of employment, the University of Southern California considers factors such as (but not limited to) the scope and responsibilities of the position, the candidate's work experience, education/training, key skills, internal peer equity, federal, state, and local laws, contractual stipulations, grant funding, as well as external market and organizational considerations.


Minimum Education:
Bachelor's degree
Minimum Experience:
1 year
Minimum Skills:
Ability to receive supervision and guidance.
Working knowledge of faculty employee life cycle.
Highly organized.
Experienced in Microsoft Office.
Excellent written and oral communication skills.
Preferred Experience:
3 years
Preferred Skills:
Understanding of faculty-related matters (e.g., appointments, promotions, and tenure).
Highly motivated.
Experience working with faculty in a university environment.
