Job Summary

The Compliance team is accountable for managing various activities to ensure customer, employee, and third-party compliance with Thomson Reuters policies, third-party requirements, and regulatory obligations. The Senior Analyst, Compliance is a versatile and innovative individual filling a key role supporting various compliance activities as a member of the Legal, Risk & Compliance (LR&C) program within Thomson Reuters reporting directly to the Manager, Compliance Operations. This position will work very closely with colleagues across the Legal, Risk & Compliance team as well as various Thomson Reuters departments including segment/sales, marketing, and product.

The ideal team member is highly organized and can execute defined processes. This team member is comfortable partnering with the team and other areas of the business to efficiently and effectively complete responsibilities. This individual is expected to focus on supporting and building out customer monitoring and audit capabilities in addition to process improvement opportunities to ensure we meet and comply with regulations, third party licensing agreements and internal business policies. This is an excellent mid level position to grow as a regulatory compliance professional.

About the Role:

  • Assist with building out existing customer audit and product monitoring efforts to proactively investigate Risk & Fraud Solutions customers' usage of the products
  • Provide actionable insights and disseminate reports to cross-functional teams to drive proactive adherence to regulatory obligations, third-party requirements and internal business policies
  • Support compliance training of Thomson Reuters employees and communication activities as requested
  • Assist with compliance use case vetting and customer reviews
  • Co-lead the execution of compliance policy and process activities from creation to implementation
  • Take lead on third-party and internal audit requests
  • Provide litigation support as needed
  • Assist with document and contract analysis
  • Conduct research on projects as needed and other duties as assigned

About You:

The following are required for success in this role:

  • 5-7 years of business and/or legal experience; experience in regulatory compliance strongly preferred
  • Knowledge of U.S. regulatory requirements around data privacy and applicable State and Federal regulations
  • Clear and effective communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Excellent analytical and decision-making skills with the ability to examine a set of facts, perform thorough analysis and reach a determination without close supervision
  • Exceptional project management skills and experience in implementing compliance programs
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational ability
  • Ability to meet deadlines under pressure
  • Excellent PC skills and familiarity with Microsoft 365 and secure cloud services (including SharePoint and Teams), SAP, and Salesforce required; familiarity or experience with data visualization software (e.g., PowerBI, Tableaux), data analytics, and risk & compliance solutions a plus.
  • Ability to establish and maintain productive internal business relationships
  • High level of initiative and ability to perform in a fast-paced environment
  • Proven abilities utilizing, analyzing and leveraging technology and artificial intelligence
  • Bachelors' Degree required, preferably in Law, Business Administration, Public Policy, or a related field.

The following experience is desirable but not essential for success in this role:

  • Juris doctorate or ABA-approved paralegal certificate highly desired
  • Professional certifications such as Certified Regulatory Compliance Manager (CRCM), Certified Compliance & Ethics Professional (CCEP), or similar certifications are advantageous
  • Prior experience in a law firm or in-house legal department

Thomson Reuters complies with local laws that require upfront disclosure of the expected pay range for a position. The base compensation range varies across locations.
For any eligible US locations, unless otherwise noted, the base compensation range for this role is $72,100 - $133,900.
This role may also be eligible for an Annual Bonus based on a combination of enterprise and individual performance.
Base pay is positioned within the range based on several factors including an individual's knowledge, skills and experience with consideration given to internal equity. Base pay is one part of a comprehensive Total Reward program which also includes flexible and supportive benefits and other wellbeing programs.
